DRAFT 2024 2nd Round Pick - WR Ja'Lynn Polk

By the end of the pre-draft process, many sources had him as a 2nd round pick. That isn’t a criticism on Kimes, because I like her. She knows her stuff. It is more of a criticism of the fellowship of the miserable, who claimed that he was over-drafted.

I like Steve Smith’s comp even more than Meyers…TJ Who’s Your Mama.

So the question really is: McConkey and a 5th round pick or Polk and Baker?
This is key. I like Baker way more than the receivers that ended up remaining in that 5th round. Wolf must have liked Polk more than McConkey and wanted to take him at 34 anyway but wisely leveraged that to a pick upgrade that allowed the Pats to get Baker. I preferred McConkey myself at the time but I think we’ll be happy with the Polk/Baker tandem at WR.

Overall i'm fine w/ the WRs they picked but I wish they collectively had more ability to create seperation on their own vs man coverage.
Not many Teams have two Elite CB's somebody will bet open it's all about play designs glad the circus have left the building.

Just for my amusement have turned into 98.5 a couple of times and right on cue both shows killing the pick

"nkeal harry 2.0" because they heard someone said contested catch guy lol clearly haven't watched any of him, he's more of a Keenan Allen type than Harry.

Troy Brown says Bingo.

The pick at 34 should've been either Adorable Adrian Adonai Mitchell or the King himself, Kingsley Suamataia. Period.

All this ****ing idiotic ****ing ****y **** from the last two days screams Al Groh's Kid & the other left-over Stevie Cargrille.

Meet the New boss; same as the Old boss.

D for the Polk pick; D ****ing Minus for the Wallace pick.

Upon further review...

As I stated in another thread, the pick at 34 should've been traded to ATLANTA, AND NOT TO THE LAC. Unbelievable what the Cardinals received for moving down 9 spots.

The pick at 43 would've been the Exact Same too, either Mitchell or one of the Left Tackles.

Polk would've STILL been available at 68.

I'm willing to wager that Polk and Baker end up being better than Aaron dobson, Josh Boyce, TT, NKeal Harry, etc.

My brother & I are better than the wastrels on that list... and we're in our 60s.

I don't know tbh but there is going to be some guesswork or estimating involved.

EDIT:

Well, game speed w pads (by gps or yard-Marker video measuring) vs 40 times is an obvious one.

Not sure how you measure strength by video analysis.

Jump explosiveness maybe you could measure if you find where wr go up for a jump ball.

RB cutback ability somehow?

Felger gave their draft an F.
