That's the only real path for him to stay. I can see it but I know we'll kick the tires elsewhere.Yeah I had some bittersweet feelings. Reagor's gonna stay bcz of return abilities. I think he's got some phoenix in him. He's gonna rise from the ashes. Can't drop another ball, though, if not he's gone.
Rice is still availableYou said "one" of them, the Pats drafted two
Come on man, clean it up
He's by FAR the speediest WR on the roster. He needs to 1) Improve his f'ing snap reaction time because it sucks - shocking for someone with a T&F background, 2) Run crisp routes, and most importantly 3) Catch the f'ing ball. I really like him and hope he sticks. He might still be the speediest WR on the roster.
This hurts me...We just need Thornton to catch the damn ball WHILE running fast.
There have been plenty of times when he's been open but due to QB not seeing him or OL absolutely sucking, it just hasn't worked out. The very few times he's gotten a deep ball, he's dropped, and that's on him. Understandable if he's gone, but I'm hoping he figures it out with the Pats. He's only a deep threat if he's getting open. He's been the invisible man for 2 years which demonstrates that's he not.
Obviously we're going to give him a good look in training camp first before getting rid of him.
But I don't have any faith in his ability at this point in time.
He needs to show it to us on the field before anyone can declare him a 'deep threat'.
Almost impossible to pull off humble yet alpha, which is the vibe this guy is giving off.I think he just came up with it. He might be my favorite pick so far. He has the mentality you’d expect from one of those alpha “give me the ball” receivers. Hasn’t been seen in a while in these parts.
He was my wr binkie. This hurts me...
Baker is a tough kid from ATL who used sports to escape the day to day in some parts of this country. Big time recruit which you always want. Was at Alabama before being lost in the shuffle there.
Baker is a prototype Z with X upside if he works on his efficiency on the los and catch point against bigger corners. Natural flanker in wco. He's got very good pacing to his routes imo. That's actually how he wins most of the time. With good pacing and baiting his man before the top of his route/breaks. He could be faster and more efficient here. Doesnt break off his routes as crisp as he could. Good job setting up his defender at the top of routes for the most part. He's got the ability to separate in the pros for sure. Plus vision whether it's on screens or in-route he's able to see what's around him for space, bodies and use that to his advantage. See some good yac off his game, again good vision and awareness. Would thrive with more PA added with his routes imo. He's really able to use things like that to his advantage. He has to tighten up his hands when the ball is closer to him. Not sure if he gets distracted but his hands are inconsistent at the catch point at times. Could tighten up his path post-catch and just take efficiency > chance at a big play. Can take a hit and keep going, good contact balance. Good blocker overall but has to make first contact more and not drop his head so easy.
He's got some issues but I love the value here. On the ptp board. This is a good pick boys. WR2 upside with the possibility of a top 20 season if he really hits. Let's go.
If Thornton figures it out and plays to his potential, it would make the offense very dangerous. There have been plenty of times when he's been open but due to QB not seeing him or OL absolutely sucking, it just hasn't worked out. The very few times he's gotten a deep ball, he's dropped, and that's on him. Understandable if he's gone, but I'm hoping he figures it out with the Pats.
What happens if he fails physical with bad knees? The Pats have a lot of cash but Juju's contract is still too heavy to move on from, unfortunately.
Will he be up to 160 by camp?WATCH: Patriots' Tyquan Thornton Bulking Up For Bigger Role?
With his New England Patriots future relatively secure, Tyquan Thornton is back in the gym and prepping for a bulkier future.www.si.com
Thornton has had plenty of chances to show his stuff. If Thornton figures it out and plays to his potential, it would make the offense very dangerous.
But, not sure he will figure it out or even can.
But why are the oranges going to training camp? These are grown ass men we’re talking about here. You gonna give ‘em capri suns too?!You can choose to die on the Thornton hill and that's your choice. He's a crap player.
We will find out in camp who can take on the roles needed at WR for Alex Van Pelt's offense.
Let em compete first and the coaches will pick what roles they fit best after seeing them.
I don't pick the players and you can bark at the moon all you want, you just end up looking foolish.
This has been the conversation so far:
We need oranges.
Our previous grocery shopper bought apples.
Where are our oranges.
I don't buy the groceries, we have apples.
Stop picking on the grocery shopper, we fired him! I asked where our are damn oranges?
SMH. We just got a new grocery shopper, maybe he got some oranges, we'll have to see after we unbag the groceries at training camp.
Listen to what you are sayingThis kid is a ****y prick. Just what or WR Corps needs
