Here's yet antother attempt at a mock, incorporating recent development and throwing out a few trade ideas.

Pre-draft trades:

- Cleveland trades Braylon Edwards to the NY Giants for #29
- Arizona trades Anquan Boldin to Batlimore for #26 (with possibly a 4th rounder thrown in as well)
- Cincinnati trades Chad "Ocho Cinco" Johnson to St. Louis for #35

Round I:

1. Detroit: Matt Stafford, QB, Georgia.

This seems like a lock right now barring an unforeseen contract glitch. I expect Stafford to be signed before the draft.

2. St. Louis: Jason Smith, OT, Baylor.

The Rams go OT over Crabtree, Sanchez and Curry, and pick Smith over Monroe based on upside and injury issues.

** Trade: Kansas City trades #3 to Washington for #13, #80 and a 2010 1st round pick. KC moves back to save money. Dan Snyder goes for the home run again.

3. Washington: Mark Sanchez, QB, USC.

The Skins are reportedly in love with Sanchez. Snyder is not one to miss out when he wants something.

4. Seattle: Eugene Monroe, OT, Virginia.

With Sanchez off the board Matt Hasselbeck grins as the Seahawks take Walter Jones' replacement at LT.

5. Cleveland: Michael Crabtree, WR, Texas Tech.

Mangini and the Browns are reportedly in love with Crabtree; expect Braylon Edwards to be traded by draft day.

6. Cincinnati: Andre Smith, OT, Alabama.

The run on OT's continues.

7. Oakland: Jeremy Maclin, WR, Missouri.

Al Davis passes on an OT or Raji in favor of speed at WR.

8. Jacksonville: Aaron Curry, LB.

Curry slips a bit because of a lack of pass rushing skills, and the Jags can't pass him up.

** Trade: Green Bay trades #9 to Kansas City for #13 and #80. Chiefs move back up a bit to get the guy Pioli covets.

9. Kansas City: Tyson Jackson, DE, LSU.

The Chiefs are reportedly in love with Jackson and consider him another Richard Seymour to build their DL around.

10. San Francisco: Michael Oher, OT, Mississippi.

SF reportedly loves Oher. Oher and Joe Staley make nice bookend OT's.

** Trade: Buffalo trades #11 to they NY Jets for #17 and #76.

11. NY Jets: Josh Freeman, QB, Kansas St.

Jets get a younger Favre-like gunslinger at QB.

12. Denver: BJ Raji, DT.

McDaniels gets a DT to build his line around.

13. Green Bay: Brian Orapko, DE/OLB, Texas.

Pack trades back and still gets a giant 3-4 OLB to play opposite Aaron Kampmann.

14. New Orleans: Chris "Beanie" Wells, RB, Ohio St.

Saints get a big back to play "thunder" to Reggie Bush's "lightnight".

15. Houston: Clay Matthews, LB, USC.

Houston debates between Matthews and Malcolm Jenkins. Matthews uncle as a coach wins out.

16. San Diego: Rey Maualuga, ILB, USC.

Chargers get an aggressive ILB to play next to Shawn Merriman.

17. Buffalo: Everette Brown, DE, Florida St.

Buffalo moves back and still gets a pass rushing DE.

[/B]** Trade:[/B] Denver trades #18 to New England for #23 and #89. Belichick and McDaniels do a deal.

18. New England: Malcolm Jenkins, CB/S. Pats move up to get the best DB in the draft.

19. Tampa Bay: Peria Jerry, DT.

With Freeman gone, the Bucs go for the best available DT.

20. Detroit: William Beatty, OT, Connecticut.

With the top 4 OT's gone by #10, Detroit reaches for the talented Beatty to play LT opposite Gosder Cherilous.

21. Philadelphia: Knowshon Moreno, RB, Georgia.

Philly gets a versatile and talented RB to share the workoad with Bryant Westbrook, behind their new OL.

22. Minnesota: Darius Heyward-Bey, WR, Maryland.

Vikes have no QB, but get a talented deep threat anyway.

23. Denver: Brian Cushing, LB, USC.

Broncos trade back and gets the versatile Cushing who can play inside or out.

24. Atlanta: Brandon Pettigrew, TE, Oklahoma St.

With Peria Jerry gone, Atlanta gets a talented TE target for Matt Ryan.

25. Miami: Darius Butler, CB, Connecticut.

Parcells gets an athletic, versatile CB. Hakeem Nicks is also an option here.

26. Arizona: Donald Brown, RB, Connecticut.

With Wells and Moreno gone, the Cardinals get the last 1st round caliber RB to replace the Edge.

27. Indianapolis: Evander "Ziggy Hood", DT, Missouri.

28. Buffalo: Eben Britton, OT, Arizona. Bills lost Jason Peters, so they get a versatile OT who can play on either side for depth and insurance.

29. Cleveland: Vontae Davis, CB, Illinois.

Mangini gets a big, talented CB to play in his system.

30. Tennessee: Robert Ayers, DE, Tennessee.

With the top CBs gone, the Titans go for a versatile DL.

31. Arizona: Aaron Maybin, DE/OLB, Penn St.

Cardinals are elated to find Maybin still on the board, to move to OLB opposite Dansby.

32. Pirrsburgh: Eric Wood, OG/C,Louisville.

Tough choice between Mack and Eric Wood.

Round 2:

33. Detroit: James Laurinaitis, ILB. Lions

Laurinaitis will complement Julian Peterson and Ernie Sims nicely.

34. New England: Connor Barwin, OLB, Cincinnati.

Pats go for an athletic OLB conversion prospect with huge upside.

35. Cincinnati: Alex Mack, OG/C, California.

Cincinnati gets perhaps the top OG/C prospect in the draft, and is elated.

36. Cleveland: Louis Delmas, S, Western Michigan. With Sean Jones gone, Cleveland continues to rebuild their secondary.
37. Seattle: Brian Robiskie, WR, Ohio St.

Hasselbeck is smiling again. He gets a smooth, big, pro-ready target.

38. Cincinnati: Kenny Britt, WR, Rutgers.

Bengals get a talented WR to replace Johnson.

39. Jacksonville: Jamon Meredith, OT, South Carolina.

Jags get a versatile OT to fill their biggest hole.

40. Oakland: Michael Johnson, DE.

Al Davis goes ape at the prospect of Johnson's size and upside.

41. Green Bay: Ron Brace, DT, Boston College.

Pack gets a massive 3-4 NT to man the middle.

42. Buffaio: Jared Cook, TE, South Carolina.

Bills fill a glaring need with the most athletic TE in the draft.

43. San Francisco: Larry English, DE/OLB, Northern Illinois.

Wanted Brace, but settle for a talented pass rusher.

44. Miami: Hakeem Nicks, WR, North Carolina St. Miami considered Nicks at 25, and is elated when he slips to 44.

45. NY Giants: William Moore, S, Missouri.

The Giants gamble on the athletic Moore, pairing him with Kenny Phillips.

46. Houston: Patrick Chung, S.

Houston goes for the reliable option at safety in Chung.

47. New England: Jarron Gilbert, DE, San Jose St.

After trading up for the reliable Jenkins, Pats gamble again on a raw defensive prospect with huge upside.

48. Denver: Alphonso Smith, CB, Wake Forest.

Denver gets a ballhawking CB to play opposite Champ Bailey. A steal at #48.

49. Chicago: Alphonso Smith, CB, Wake Forest.

With the DEs and WRs gone, Chicago upgrades its secondary, and considers Moore a steal at #49.

50. Cleveland: Clint Sintim, LB, Virginia.

Browns are thrilled to find Sintim still available at 50.

** Trade: New England trades #58 and #124 to Dallas for #51. With the safeties gone, Dallas moves back a few spots.

51. New England: Percy Harvin, WR, Florida.

Harvin falls due to drug and character concerns, and the Pats move up to get a versatile all-purpose weapon ahead of the Jets.

52. NY Jets: Shonn Green, RB, Iowa.

They wanted Harvin, but settle for a thumper RB to complement Leon Washington and eventually replace Thomas Jones.

53. Philadelphia: Sean Smith, CB/S, Utah.

Philly gambles on the talented Smith as a FS to replace Brian Dawkins.

54. Minnesota: Philip Loadholt, OT, Oklahoma.

Minny gets a massive RT to fill their biggest hole.

** Trade: Atlanta trades #55 to Arizona for #63, #131 and future considerations.

55. Arizona: Max Unger, C.

Cardinals trade up to get the last remaining top center.

56. Miami: James Casey, TE, Rice.

Phins get a versatile TE/H-back who can play the wildcat.

57. Baltimore: Coye Francies, CB, San Jose St.

Baltimore goes for a talented big CB who dropped a bit due to speed concerns.

58. Dallas: Duke Robinson, OG, Virginia.

Massive road grader will fit right in to Dallas' huge OL.

59. Carolina: Sen'Derrick Marks, DT, Auburn.

Quick, penetrating DT, fits the mold.

60. NY Giants: Lawrence Sidbury, DE/OLB, Richmond.

Giants gamble on a pass-rushing physical freak.

61. Indianapolis: Joaquin Iglesias, WR, Oklahoma.

Big, smooth guy with nice hands but without elite speed.

62. Tennessee: Mike Wallace, WR, Mississippi.
Tennessee loves to pull shockers. Reaching for the athletic Wallace in the 2nd round would be another one.

63. Atlanta: Marcus Freeman, LB, Ohio St.

With Keith Brooking gone Atlanta needs an LB.

64. Pittsburgh: Fili Moala, DE, USC.

Steelers gamble on an athletic DT who can play 3-4 DE. Cousin of Haloti Ngata.

Other Pats picks:

97. Jason Williams, LB. Versatile, atlhetlic LB with incredible measurables. Plan to move him inside to SILB as a "poor man's Brandon Spikes".
170. Philip Trautwein, OT, Florida. Athletic OT with a quick first step who could be a real find this late.
199. Brandon Walker, OG, Oklahoma. 6'3" 305# sleeper who was OU's best run blocker last year.
207. Brian Hoyer, QB, Michigan St. Worth a shot on this developmental QB this late.
234. Vaughn Martin, DT, Western Ontario. 330# guy who can run the 40 in 5.02. Raw, but worth a shot this late.
UDFA: Thomas Morstead, P, SMU.

Great mock.

You have Alphonso Smith there twice.

The only thing I disagreed with was the Bills trading out. IMO, having BJ Raji in your D-line next to Stroud will cause much much more of a problem for opposing teams than Ev Brown. Those two guy will collapse the pocket and they'll stop the run. Collapsing the pocket might be just what the Bills need on defense.

Percy Harvin? Holy shi........

I would not be happy. Another wasted 2nd round pick

Percy Harvin? Holy shi........

Dont care. Harvin at 51 is excellent value.. Pat White is another player i would look at in this area.

I like Barwin and all but but i would actually trade away 34 and a 4th to get back in round 1 to take Robert Ayers. I actually think he would be more versatile than Barwin would in this D. I Like the Gilbert pick as well. With all of these picks, OL would be high priority on day 2

Really good work, and I enjoyed that you made a comment for each pick.

Louis for #35
I hope the Giants don't get Edwards, that would be huge for them. I don't see the Ocho Cinco trade at all. St Louis just hired a new head coach with a defensive background (who just dealt with Plaxico) and they are looking to rebuild a bad team.

Round I:

This would be awful trade for Washington as they never have enough draft picks, but I could see Snyder making it happen.

I could see Jacksonville taking Raji here if the background checks out.

Have to wonder if the Patriots also love Jackson...
10. San Francisco: Michael Oher, OT, Mississippi.

SF reportedly loves Oher. Oher and Joe Staley make nice bookend OT's.

** Trade: Buffalo trades #11 to they NY Jets for #17 and #76.

11. NY Jets: Josh Freeman, QB, Kansas St.
I could see it happening, but nobody between 11 and 17 is a threat to take Freeman...must be a bidding war with Tampa?
Jets get a younger Favre-like gunslinger at QB.

12. Denver: BJ Raji, DT.

McDaniels gets a DT to build his line around.

13. Green Bay: Brian Orapko, DE/OLB, Texas.

Pack trades back and still gets a giant 3-4 OLB to play opposite Aaron Kampmann. This would be a strange set of OLB's with neither seeming to have any coverage skills, but the pick still makes sense at 13.

I see Cushing here going by the "he was invited to the draft so somebody must want him fairly early theory"

Don't love it, but wouldn't be upset either. I think Tampa takes Jenkins at 19, if he doesn't go 18.

I think a better fit for Minnesota would be Nicks considering Berrian is a vertical guy, but Heyward-Bey is better value if he's on the board. I think Minnesota would be very tempted by Britton here to play RT.

Seems like a perfect pick for the Titans, but I see Ayers going higher, perhaps to Denver.

I think you made the right choice as Wood is considered better against big Nose Tackles.

Round 2:

33. Detroit: James Laurinaitis, ILB. Lions

Laurinaitis will complement Julian Peterson and Ernie Sims nicely.
Great draft for Detroit filling there 3 biggest needs

34. New England: Connor Barwin, OLB, Cincinnati.

Pats go for an athletic OLB conversion prospect with huge upside.
Shocker, I think I know your Patriots drafts by heart:)

Great pick for Cleveland, but would a BB disciple go WR/CB/S with 3 of the top 36 picks? seems like a lineman would be in the mix somewhere.
37. Seattle: Brian Robiskie, WR, Ohio St.

Hasselbeck is smiling again. He gets a smooth, big, pro-ready target.

I see a pass rusher here, maybe Larry English. Seahawks have Houshmazadeh, Branch, and Burleson at WR.

This seems to be written in stone, doesn't it?

41. Green Bay: Ron Brace, DT, Boston College.

Pack gets a massive 3-4 NT to man the middle.

42. Buffaio: Jared Cook, TE, South Carolina.

Bills fill a glaring need with the most athletic TE in the draft.
Like Detroit, Buffalo fills top 3 needs.

Ok, now we are looking for Canfield or Lang with the 3rd round comp pick...j/k
48. Denver: Alphonso Smith, CB, Wake Forest.

Denver gets a ballhawking CB to play opposite Champ Bailey. A steal at #48.

49. Chicago: Alphonso Smith, CB, Wake Forest.

Typo, meant DJ Moore here, I think he goes 3rd round or possibly later due to lack of size speed, but he's somewhat similar to Nathan Vasher and fits the Bears scheme.

I have a hard time seeing Dallas passing on Harvin for themselves, but this is the type of move I think we will see from New England specifically targeting a guy who's slipping in round 2
52. NY Jets: Shonn Green, RB, Iowa.

They wanted Harvin, but settle for a thumper RB to complement Leon Washington and eventually replace Thomas Jones.
I see Andre Brown going earlier than Greene

Loadholt seems to be rising, but this would be an ideal draft for Minnesota getting great value at WR and RT in the first two rounds.

Not sure I see Parcells taking a TE who's been roundly criticized for his blocking.

58-64 are all great mock picks in my opinion as they fit need, scheme and the draft tendencies of the above teams.

UDFA: Thomas Morstead, P, SMU.[/QUOTE]

I'd be satisfied with the Patriots draft, but there seems to be too much risk for a BB draft. We like a lot of the same players, but I am not sure I see BB taking Barwin, Gilbert, and Harvin early. I think there will be a "safer" pick in there somewhere if they make 3 sceond rounders.

Were your OL picks influenced by the NFP article on DL/OL risers? Both Trautwein and Walker were mentioned there.

JENKINS
Are you drafting Jenkins to play safety. If so, he likely isn't worth a 1st and a 3rd. I do like the trade and the pick, if he is expected to compete at corner.

BARWIN
Belichick gets his TE. Thomas will have competition. In your mock, I would get my strong safety NOW and my project LB at 58 in Sidbury.

GILBERT
A solid pick.

HARVIN
A throw something at the TV pick. Loadholt and Unger and Sean Smith are all much better picks, since you have given up on any later help on the OL, except for the potential Practice Squaders who we keep drafting to play on other teams. I do agree with moving up, since there is a lot of talent available which will soon be gone.

BOTTOM LINE
I would have preferred Jenkins, Moore, Gilbert, Unger, and Williams as my top 5 picks. All would be potential 2010 starters.

The more and more I research Malcolm Jenkins the more I think Belichick can mold him into a superstar. A lot of folks are down on him because of his 40 times but I really don't think they are going to be an issue on our team.

Ty Law 1995 5-11 200--40 yard dash 4.63
Asante Samuel 5-11 185-- 40 yard dash 4.49
Malcolm Jenkins 6ft 204--40 yard dash 4.54

If you look at his film you can see he plays man to man quite a bit and some bump and run. If you break down his combine he has the best 3 cone of all cbs. A pretty insane 6.59 with a nice 4.07 20 yard shuttle. I'm going to assume he has very good hips and change of direction skills that will make up for his lack of speed via Law and Samuel.

Dont care. Harvin at 51 is excellent value.. Pat White is another player i would look at in this area.

Come on. Is wasting a high pick on a player you know is goin to be trouble worth the "value"?

I would be so pissed with Harvin on this team.

If Jenkins is there at 23 (which im positive he wont be) and we dont take him? Thats a blunder in itself the guy is a playmaker who fell about 10 spots because he was .05 seconds slower than most anticipated him as.

Either safety or corner the guy will fit the bill where he goes.

All i know is that i dont want to see him end up with the Jets or Miami. And to get him at 51 is great. I dont see what the complaining is about. This guy is explosive. Was the best player in the National Title game. He would be an excellent complement to Welker with the quick wr screens that we run. Hes versatile and thats what belichicks likes in his players. You can say hes going to be trouble but at pick #51, there are no sure things with whoever you pick.

Mayo -- nice, creative mock. I'm a huge fan of projecting trades...sure, the chances that it will break that way are slim, but the chances that the draft will proceed with NO trades are nil. When you see a mismatch between team needs and available value, trades do happen.

Mayo

If we trade up I think it will be for Beatty or Oher. If Unger dropped that far id take him ahead of Harvin and If we do move up in the second it would be for one of the Strong Safeties

I don't have a problem with any of the top two rounds. I used to love what Harvin could bring to us but his "issues" have turned me off; however at that point in the draft I would have to take a shot.

Great Job Mayo as usually.

It looks like the kinda draft that really could happen with all the needs and situation that are going on in the NFL. Denver is a team that could trade up for a QB but I really think McDanial will rebuild their defense which was horrible last year. I though you might have Denver taking Raji to build their 3-4 defense but Jackson IMO is on the same level. They still have two first rounders next year so getting a QB or Mt. Cody might be an option in 2010.

I like you pre-draft trades and believe that all three players will move and change where the WR's go in the draft as evident in the second round of your draft. Robiski ahead of Britt was a little surprise but he is climbing up the draft boards quickly leading up the the draft (his dad is creating a buzz:p). Nicks I really was hoping we could get but Harvin's ability to play muli positions (replace Faulk on third down) return kicks and play the slot and learn from Welker is a great idea IMO. He played lights out at times when healthy and would be a definite asset for our offense and TB return plus you found a way to screw the JETS;).

I could totally see the Redskins trading up for USC boy as Snyder is like Al Davis in the way if he like a guy he will do anything to get him. Kinda reminds me of The Over-the-Hill Gang was the George Allen-coached Washington Redskins team of the early 1970s.

I think the Jets will have to move up to get Freeman (this years Flaco IMO) as they have not even tried to get a vet QB in this off season. They should bring in a new QB to push the others.

Guys just go watch tape on Jenkins and he is the best DB in the draft by far and please do not tell me about his speed on a track because on the field he is a 4.4:) If all a CB had to do is run fast then we would go elsewhere but to read routes, set the edge and play man coverage Jenkins is the man.

Barwin is going to play defense and people should just realize this instead of mocking every time his name is mention:rolleyes: Great pick.

Gilbert is great value where you have him.

Going defense on our first three picks at DL, LB and DB picking Harvin was the next in line and a good pick. People wanted OL but you pick two OL in the later rounds and we do have a great line when healthy. Neal is the only pressing issue but if a great OT fell to us we would also have to pull the trigger but the way your draft worked out that did not happen.

A very enjoyable read.

Sorry, the 2nd Alphonso Smith was DJ Moore - I changed it and forgot to change the name. The comment by the Bears mentions Moore.

I would agree with your Raji comment - I have him as my #1 prospect - but I could still see Buffalo going OL-DE-TE to fill their major needs. They are reportedly trying to get John Henderson from Jacksonville to re-pair with Marcus Stroud, so it's possible a trade will occur before draft time.

Each new mock I do I try to throw some new ideas out there which I think could be plausible. It's just a guess, since this is all such a crapshoot.

Mayo -- nice, creative mock. I'm a huge fan of projecting trades...sure, the chances that it will break that way are slim, but the chances that the draft will proceed with NO trades are nil. When you see a mismatch between team needs and available value, trades do happen.

Agreed. It'd be more realistic if one of those trades were into 2010 *gulp*, but I applaud the effort here. :)

58-64 are all great mock picks in my opinion as they fit need, scheme and the draft tendencies of the above teams.

Thanks, I tried to fit need, scheme and draft tendencies for all teams as best I could. Obviously, I don't know other teams as well as the Pats. I tried to make it work out so that a fan of other teams could look at their draft and be happy if it worked out that way. For example, Miami getting Butler and Nicks at 25 and 44 would be a dream scenario for the Phins. Minny getting Maclin and Loadholt, as you mentioned, was another nice one.

At 56, I could have had the Phins taking Pat White, but with Nicks at 44 I thought Casey might be a nice alternative as someone who could play the Wildcat. I like Casey a lot myself. You could subsitute Chase Coffman or Shawn Nelson if you prefer them at TE.

By all reports, Shonn Greene's pro day has moved him back into 2nd round consideration. If you prefer Andre Brown to the Jets at 52 that's OK by me.

I think your point about the Cowboys not passing on Harvin is a good one. But I could see Jerry Jones doing a knee jerk reaction after Pacman Jones and Terrell Owens and avoiding a potential headache guy at WR.

Doc, thanks for the detailed comments. As always, I value your input.

In my scenario, the Pats moved up to get a very "safe" player in Malcolm Jenkins in the 1st round. This was partly in response to a lot of feedback from people on this board feeling that BB would want more of a "sure thing" in the 1st than some of the high-ceiling guys I had been floating (Barwin, Beatty, etc.). Jenkins is one of the safest picks in the draft, and I think BB could do a lot with his versatility. His comments on hybrid safeties at the combine suggests that he holds Jenkins in high regard. Then, having made a safe pick, I could see BB roll the dice on some high ceiling guys in the 2nd round such as Barwin and Gilbert.

The Harvin pick was not intentional. I just kept making picks for teams that I thought made sense, and when I got to 50 I realized WTF that Harvin was still on the board. Then I went back to see where he should go earlier and didn't see an obvious place. After thinking about it, with his drug test and character concerns and reports that teams are scared of him, I could see him falling. Then I wondered what the Pats would do if he did fall to 50. For all his warts, I could see BB deciding that he was too talented and versatile to pass up, and making a small trade up to get him. He would solve multiple problems - a WR prospect, a Kevin Faulk replacement, and a returner. With the Harvin pick, I took Devin Moore off my board.

The NFP article influenced me a fair amount. I went back and looked at some OU film and was impressed with Walker. I could see him offering comparable upside to Trevor Canfield, but coming 2+ rounds later and without the character issues. TJ Lang was gone in my projection at 97. Trautwein was a bit of a throw-in, as I didn't have us taking an OT early and I could see BB going for a developmental one.

Agreed. It'd be more realistic if one of those trades were into 2010 *gulp*, but I applaud the effort here. :)

In some of my previous mocks I've suggested a trade into 2010 - and, as I recall, gotten panned for it as being unrealistic.

I think a trade into 2010 is quite possible. Each mock I do I try to kick some new ideas around. This is first one with Jenkins as a possibility for the Pats, including a small trade up in the 1st round. In previous mocks a lot of people suggested going for "safe" picks in the 1st round. Jenkins is as safe as they go. I've had Beatty as one of my top targets before, but if the top 4 OT's go top 10 then I could see Detroit jumping at 20. Much as I like Beatty's upside, I don't think he is worth a trade up, as he is a bit of a project.

I did not start this mock out thinking about Harvin for the Pats. But the ways things fell, I could see it happening. He is a top 20 talent, and to get him at 51, issues and all, would be a coup. A lot of people had badly wanted him at 23 or 34, so I was a bit surprised at the negative feedback. And heck, I wouldn't be surprised by at least one "throw the TV" pick. With Mack/Woods/Meredith gone there is no OL that I like - I don't think Robinson or Loadholt fit the Pats at all, and I'm personally not a big Unger fan. Sean Smith would have made sense, but not with Malcolm Jenkins already on board. Trading the pick into 2010 would make sense, but if someone of value like Harvin falls I could see BB rolling the dice.

You either have William Moore going twice at 45 and 49 or Alphonso Smith going twice at 48 and 49. So which one is the clone? :)

PS Zero safeties for the Pats in this year's draft? If Sean Smith lasts that long, I'd draft him instead of harvin and see what kind of saftey he could be. At 6'3, it's gonna be tough to get the ball over him if he's protecting the middle of the field.
