Mark Daniels on the fall of Mac Jones

I don’t know about anyone else here but I have dozens of friends with children with developmental disabilities of various degrees, and this “ corky” **** that Triumph started has gotten really old. Literally no one wants Mac Jones here, but that’s no reason to be this offensive every single day. If you want to insult him go ahead, but there’s no need to copy the dumbest and most offensive poster on this site to do it.

In fairness, I don't know if @Triumph was referencing Corky from Life Goes On. He is obviously demeaning Mac, but I didn't get it in that way. My take is Triumph might be too young to get that reference. I get he is on the younger side. I don't know if he was even alive when that show was on the air. I mean it was cancelled about 30 years ago.

I think he is is in his 20s. I hope to God he is in his 20s because it would be scary for someone much older than that to act this way. Hell, it is scary for a guy in his 20s to act this way.

But either way, the Corky reference is tired. But so is his act. Mac Jones has likely spent his last game in a Patriots uniform. Every thread doesn't have to turn into endless references to "Corky".

I wouldn't send him packing for a conditional 5th - 6th or 7th just to move him. I would like to see him play with better Talents not named Juju - Tyquan and Parker we are talking bottom dwellers here.

We can't keep Juju just because of that bad contract we have enough cap to absorb it. Mayo have to put his stamp on this Team doing it with good players and not Deadwoods Juju is on the BB/GM tab so too Parker who is way cheaper to cut!. Aside from Pop Douglas we are Dog shi!t @WR it's that bad.

Yeah, the lack of options is the only reason I don't want to simply get rid of JJSS now. With no ties to these guys Mayo will be able to make the decisions without strings attached.

Reading the article it made me feel like bill and Bob were the biggest culprits and with the line being so horrendous mac began to play like mahomes without realizing he does not have that game style. Trying to do too many things. I feel sorry for Mac.

He should get a real fighting chance in offseason to compete . If we get a Decent offensive line coordinator and stability on offensive line hopefully whichever QB comes he will play well. At this point I would just trade down and grab an OT at 5 or 6 and use the extra 2nd rounder and 77 on Bo Nix and number 34 on the best available wide receiver. Let Mac start the first few games as a bridge and we will take it from there .

Open your eyes we have seen so called Washed up QB's improve with the right guys around them Geno Smith - Baker Mayfield and Drew Lock recently I would be a fool to give up on Mac at least not this year.

Wrong thread but I've never uttered the last 8 words. Ever. I'm on record that it was both BB & TB that contributed to the dynasty. We can bicker about the % of each ones contribution. I'm also on record for years that his time was up, but won't repeat it again. Both things can be true.

I think Belichick's biggest crime was Patricia and Judge. I think Mac developed a lot of bad habits in 2022 that a good QB coach and OC might have coached out of him. By the time O'Brien inherited Mac, he already had some bad tendencies. The o-line disaster this year obviously exploited those bad tendencies, but if Mac was coached out of the tendencies in 2022 maybe 2023 wouldn't have been the complete disaster it was.

Mac could have still been broken this year even if McDaniels stayed in 2022. But you gotta think when the QB coach knows less about the position than the guys he is coaching, that will make young QBs develop bad habits they wouldn't with a real QB coach.

It took Geno Smith 8 years. The other two aren’t as bad as Mac Jones. Mac Jones could turn MHJ in a 600 yds receiver.

Nico Collins never had more than 481 yds. CJ Stroud is drafted and suddenly he turn into a 1300 yds receiver.

I can tell you that if he played with Mac Jones. He would never have broken the 500 yds bar.

Jonnu Smith had more yds in a year with Desmond Ridder and Heinicke than in 2 years with Mac Jones
