I too remember her. She's a keeper. I like her.

For all you guys that have your panties in a bunch, Kraft is providing Mayo with every level of support he may need to ensure he remains focused on his task. He wants to ensure that Mayo succeeds w/ minimal distractions.

That's what good owners do, provide resources to help their staff do a better job.

Kraft hasn't and won't meddle in "football" matters. He's a business owner and a fan. All he wants is wins, which is all we want also.

I listened to that conference. Kraft made the right moves:

1. Fire Bill
2. Hire Mayo
3. Evaluate everything to figure out what the hell Bill was doing in his top secret chamber before making any decisions in the FO personnel.

Point 3 is proof alone that the Krafts weren't meddling. They can't even figure out how Bill had it all structured aside from knowing he surrounded himself with Yes men.

Jonathan is a bean counter. He's not interested in football matters. He's only interested in two things: the bottom line and wins, because wins are directly proportional to the bottom line.

This is going to be good:
She's not going to **** you bro

A lot of people point to the Wickersham article that mentioned Glaser having side conversations with coaches and staff members asking them why Bill did things and asking a lot of various questions. Many folks are interpreting that as her running some kind of campaign to subvert Bill and get dirt on him or something. In reality in may have simply been because she wanted to know what he did and why he did it as best she could so that she could impart that information to Jerod as his advisor the following year whenever necessary.

In that context, I think "a football decision" needs to be defined.

Shes not picking players during the draft or telling people who to sign as a FA so let's relax.
That Mike Kasicky is throwing **** at the wall. Did you hear his voice? He was outraged that they sneaked it in there. Hahaha, what a tool.

People in the media (and thus, their readers and listeners) are really getting worked up over essentially nothing.

“Person gets title change”

What does the title mean? What are the responsibilities? “We don’t know yet”

Well…. Let’s just decide it means things we don’t want it to mean, and then get really mad about it!!!!!

She is going to impart football decision making advice to Mayo based on 3rd party interpretation of something BB did? C'mon man. When you went to college you stood outside the class door and when all the students walked out you asked them what the teacher said so you could learn calculus quickly?

Ian had to race across state lines, back to his basement, breaking several land speed records
No basement in this house. Albeit, I'll defer to @SammyBlueCat . Pretty sure he's got the edge in the speed category...

1. Wickersham reported about her promotion a week ago.
2. The Krafts waited a week or more to announce her promotion right after Mayo's introduction as the head coach was finished.
3. She will be one of Mayo's direct advisors. Why dodge announcing her?
4. This has Jack Easterby written all over it.

It’s not calculus, I’m just talking about the day to day. If they decided during the season that it might be Bill’s last year then they would’ve tasked Glaser with trying to map out what is going on in general in the building and why. She doesn’t need to know everything but if she was able to get some basic level of understanding of what they were doing, when and approximately for what reason some of the time, she would then be able to compare and contrast that against what Mayo does in his role. If he does something drastically different that doesn’t work, or if he hits a roadblock, she would be able to advise on what she observed previously as a potential avenue to help. This is just one leg of the role, I’m sure.

I’m sure there are other people who can advise him and maybe they will hire some (McDaniels?) but it’s a start.

She's a babysitter.
She may have answers for Mayo about League Stuff, but she's there to keep an eye on him. Like has been reported -BB had Super Bowls under his belt before gaining any autonomy. Kraft will never hang up the leash again.
Keep an eye on him while he's meeting with players, on the practice field, on the sidelines when he's calling plays? No? Then I don't care.

She's got an MBA & JD. She's one of Kraft's most trusted advisors not some flunky who's sole purpose is to snitch on Mayo. She's there to provide support and assistance with any non-football related matters he may need.

If Mayo succeeds, it makes Kraft look like a genius. Kraft isn't sparing any resources to make sure that happens.

I got the impression, based on his comments and their statements collectively, that they're looking for a fresh face. I don't even know if O'Brien is coming back, which sort of surprises me because he seemed pretty loyal to Robert Kraft. He's sort of dropped off the radar now, which is interesting.

All the assistant coaches and personnel people are still there, and know everything that is going on, but the Krafts needed her to figure it out too? Your explanation is worse than all the other theories that you are doubting. Your explanation is the least likely of all the options.

And how many of them will be here in 2 months…? I don’t think it’s a very outlandish idea but agree to disagree. I think we generally agree on most things, otherwise.

I like fresh faces, but not zero experience. It reads like Jack Easterby - fresh face with zero experience.

It is a pretty outlandish idea. I never seen anything like that in any business I have ever been involved in. The owner sending in a person with zero training or experience to get second hand information to learn how the business runs.

I literally have no idea what direction they're going to go. The one takeaway I got about that side of the ball is Mayo didn't seem happy with how they've developed players, using the word "developers" as a point of emphasis with what he wants from his coordinators. I could be wrong, but since they seem to feel good about their defense, my feeling is the offense was what he was potentially referring to.

She's always been there, doing stuff behind the scenes. They announced it because she's probably going to be more visible but I'm not even sure they even had to.

The people that hated Bill getting canned are looking under rocks for anything to call into question that decision. It's a done deal. Bill will probably be coaching in ATL soon anyway.

She has already spent time questioning players and coaches about how/why things were done behind another coach's back. I wouldn't call that a flunky snitch. Watchdog is probably the term I should have used, but while she may not be present during certain aspects of team ops she does gather information. I doubt it's for her own pleasure.
