It's easy, and only takes a few moments.I wouldn’t say it means he is definitely returning, that’s still up to Robert. What it tells me is that Bill is doing two things:Maybe it's just me. But, how many outgoing GM's speak to the press before going somewhere else?
Tells me Bill is back
Your absolutely right. It's still mind boggling he didn't remain here. How does this happen! Stiddy IMO wasn't even a back up QB more like a PS QB. However I'd take him after what we had to endure the last 2 seasons at the Position. I will always say Brady was just the ultimate equalizer whenever Bill played mad scientist with the offense over the years. You would think that was the case given Stidham was the starter till Cam happened late.
But the fact they let him be a free agent the prior year, did not even contact him during free agency till he had his Tampa contract and all that PR about Brady earned right to make his decision tells me they did not want Brady back. So stupid given that Stidham was up next.
Yeah I think a trade is out of the picture now.I wouldn’t say it means he is definitely returning, that’s still up to Robert. What it tells me is that Bill is doing two things:
1. He is fighting for his job here and forcing the Kraft’s hands to either fire him or backdown. No mutual parting of the ways.
2. He is putting it out there to other teams that if he is fired, he is willing to take a strictly HC role elsewhere which would likely make him a more appealing target for teams in search of a new coach.
Agreed. The one factor here that's working against Bill is one that we all face in life. Father time. Last few seasons were wasted the franchise went no where! Be it here or elsewhere he's a short term hire.I wouldn’t say it means he is definitely returning, that’s still up to Robert. What it tells me is that Bill is doing two things:
1. He is fighting for his job here and forcing the Kraft’s hands to either fire him or backdown. No mutual parting of the ways.

Yeah.. me too. Don't see it happening. I'll bet you they are all meeting right now. Do you think Bill brought Joe don't judge me in the meeting with him.. lolYeah I think a trade is out of the picture now.
So this presser is just filler time imo.I wouldn’t say it means he is definitely returning, that’s still up to Robert. What it tells me is that Bill is doing two things:

It needs to happen fast. It's championship week and with changes coming this part of the org needs to be able to move forward with the offseason. We will have a resolution or at least More clarity in 72 hours I would say.
Trade was always out of the picture. People who really believed that were just grasping at straws trying to get max value out of it. Bill was never going to let himself be traded because it...Yeah I think a trade is out of the picture now.
It’s definitely not filler. His statement that he’d be willing to scale down his role is extremely relevant to the discussion. Personally I am 100% against Bill returning but for others it will move the needle. So this presser is just filler time imo.
He really hasn't said anything worthwhile. Which he shouldn't.
The longer it goes on the more likely he stays. If the Kraft’s had the conviction that he needs to go it should happen today or shortly after their meeting, whenever that is. Every further day shows hesitancy by ownership to move on.We will have a resolution or at least More clarity in 72 hours I would say.
Yeah it's really hard to see BB agreeing to help his old team and hurt his new team.Trade was always out of the picture. People who really believed that were just grasping at straws trying to get max value out of it. Bill was never going to let himself be traded because it...
1. Took his destination out of his hands
2. Lost assets for wherever he went.
At first I thought he wouldn’t be OK with it, now I think he would agree to it, he’s 71 years old, his kids are on the staff, why not just spend the next couple years coaching, he has said a couple times he can’t do it all.Interesting. If he was willing to give up gm duties that would be a dream come true. I love Belichick the coach, the team benefits big time if he stays. However, I doubt he has it in him to to stand by and watch the owner and say a new GM, even if it were Dimotroff who he knows, come in and clean house? We know the defensive staff is up to snuff and could all keep their jobs. Anyone think he would be ok with the org letting go of Troy, Brown, Bob, Judge and a majority of the scouting staff? I’ll believe it when I see it.
I hope is showered and shaved first.Yeah.. me too. Don't see it happening. I'll bet you they are all meeting right now. Do you think Bill brought Joe don't judge me in the meeting with him.. lol
Your right. Looks like he walked in a winner and left a looser.I hope is showered and shaved first.
He looked like he spent the last 48 hrs at The Encore.
We disagree. If Brady came out and said he was unhappy with his contract and situation and made a stink of it? Lol 100% team would have caved.
Also that was 100% a Bill decision that Kraft blessed.
