2024 QB

Don't sleep on Jalen Milroe. If he improves next year like he did this year then you could be looking at a Top 5 pick.
Maybe a lazy comparison, but he reminds me of Hurts

Just been watching a Field Yates and Mel Kiper podcast on the 2024 QB class. Some interesting takes. Get the sense that a great combine could see Daniels moving up, possibly even to the first pick. Kinda hoping that doesn't happen and we get him in our range i.e. 3-6.

Speaking of people moving up, is there a difference between Joe Milton and Anthony Richardson?

To me he is bigger and more athletic than Hurts. Passing is work in progress but the same was true for Hurts, hence why he left Alabama,

Milton is worth taking a flyer on if around later. When I read his profile it makes me wonder how he was able to start at Tenn of all places. I need to see more evaluations of him.

Intriguing prospect have a gun for an arm it's said Milton have an arm for cold weather ???.

My personal problem is discriminatory: I see UNC / Maye, and I immediately convulse thinking about high pick Trubisky and Howell (Maye's best friend), even while watching his games. It's not fair to the young man.

I believe he runs a 4.7 something 40 compared to Richardson's 4.4 something. But, he is a big dude and considered a "Mobile Pocket Passer". He's currently viewed as a 6th round pick.

May be of interest to only me - Last 2 years Record / Stats per game against Top 25 teams for some of the QBs who may be up for the draft.

Milton would deserve the hype that Cunningham got as a backup IMO.

Left field, mid-round flier when he comes out - Noah Fifita. Only 6 feet but has a rocket arm. Won a bowl game with Arizona and every time I looked at his stats we was 300+ yards for 3+ TDs.

2026? eligible

Maye not only reminds me of Donald, but he does look like our own Mac Jones as well. It is not the just 10, but the throwing style, no actual velocity. Weird arm angle. JJ McCarthy may do it for us. He already play in a pro style offense.

I think Maye looks like Herbert literally and figuratively.

I see folks on Twitter trying to talk themselves into Penix, which IMO is playing with fire.

Hard to argue against the body of work. Injuries are the big issue with him and it will be up to teams to evaluate the risk. However, he has been fantastic for Washington and deserves the hype. I'd say the equivalent risk on someone like Drake Maye is the lack of big time tape. Penix has just thrown for over 400 yds in a Natty semi-final. Maye is all about potential and that kinda worries me.

The deal with PeniX is injury. Like it or not he has had a number of season ending injuries. If he goes unscathed next week I believe this will be his first full year. Now if Boney T and Jimmy Glass are in your vocabulary then maybe PeniX should be similarly regarded.
Personally, I'm okay with Thornton, Jimmy G, and of course PeniX since he is more promising than either of them, but I don't consider PeniX or any other QB in this draft a number 2 or 3 pick. That would hopefully be worked out equitably.

Big red flag on the injuries—four straight years of season-ending injuries while at lowly Indiana—but last night was the introduction for many of the incandescent talent and winning ways of Mr Michael Penix.

He made throws all over the field with uncanny accuracy. Some of them neither of our QBs on the roster would be capable of.

He would be a huge upgrade at QB.

But with that giant red flag.

Would make a quality QB2 a necessity.
