Of course…but do that **** in private, not on the field with a camera in your face.Crying let's out all negative thoughts or disappointments to begin things afresh . So not sure why we want to label crying as emotionally less mature .
Sometimes folks have too many things bottled up and it causes depression and other mental issues.
I am not saying you are meaning that, but your statement states otherwise.
Why do we associate crying as a sign of weakness. Isn't it a sign of not really caring what the world thinks and showing their emotional side.
Not sure why we consider stoic demeanor and non emotional aspect as signs of success?
It’s situational awareness. Brady cried…in interviews about his draft spot or his Dad
I am not saying williams will be successful but just the notion that if you cry you are weak ...
How does it matter .Of course…but do that **** in private, not on the field with a camera in your face.
It just makes me question mental makeup…which gets into my real issue.
I feel we JUST drafted a 1st rd QB who absolutely wilted under real pressure.
Gun shy I guess.
I want an absolute psycho at QB next.
Caleb Williams is my QB.I am more interested in Daniels than Maye, but that's only because I have seen Daniels play and have not seen Maye. Williams, meh. I don't love the hype machine, and him breaking down in his mother's arms, while endearing if I wanted a nice kid to be my future son-in-law, doesn't make me think he's emotionally mature enough to lead an NFL franchise day one.
I have watched more Ewers and McCarthy than any of them.
The equity part I agree, makes him look stupid and entitled and greedy. Crying everytime might be an issue . But ocassional outbursts I think should be ok.Not on the field, in that particular situation.
I think it’s fair to take that, and his ask about equity in the franchise who drafts him as red flags.
I am just saying that being an NFL QB is a tough job, mentally and physically. Running to breakdown in his mother's arms might be a sign that he may not be emotionally up for the job right now. I could care less that he cries. Brady cried. I care that he ran to mumma. Again, I am not judging the kid as a human being. As a father, I have no problem with his display of emotion and the need for family support. I applaud it at the human level. As a consumer and customer of the New England Patriots, I have pause that this young man could be in line to be the face of the franchise and lead them to the promised land.Crying let's out all negative thoughts or disappointments to begin things afresh . So not sure why we want to label crying as emotionally less mature .

BB wants players who are passionate about football. Not on the field, in that particular situation.

Just out of curiousity, which way are people leaning between these two?
I will note that Caleb Williams is 6'0", which is a concern, while Maye is 6'4". Obviously, Williams is extremely athletic, but watching some film for the first time last night, Maye seems better within the pocket, albeit he doesn't have the same arm, nor is he as strong as Williams.
Without getting too far into the weeds in terms of any evaluation (and for the sake of not clouding anyone's opinions), just wondering how people are feeling to this point...
So basically a range that includes every quarterback in NFL history apart from Tom BradyCaleb ceiling Mahommes, Floor Zach Wilson
You’re not looking at it from the eye of his teammates, coaches, and competitors. Football, whether we agree or not, is an ultra competitive sport with old school tough guy/jock mentality. It’s always been that way. So when he cried he lost a lot of respect from people who view the game that way.Why do we associate crying as a sign of weakness. Isn't it a sign of not really caring what the world thinks and showing their emotional side.

Bourne is great QB Scout so I would listen to him.Mayes release concerns me. But if that can be worked on you have the upside of Justin Herbert. Floor is Daniel Jones.
