Holy cow, no one asked you to look into secret conversations.
I'm asking you to name alternatives, but it sounds like you believe across the league executives are secretly looking into trading CeeDee Lamb and Jamarr Chase. I can assure you, that isn't happening. And especially not to the Patriots. Not even Davante Adams is available.
You basically want to hold Belichick accountable for a stupid fantasy of yours, which is nuts to the highest degree.
I think that Caleb will be much harder to defend than Maye. Caleb stretches the field horizontally. Its not just his side arm throws, he has a strong arm and great vision.Williams is just being a young, dumb kid with his comments. I'm sure his agent will clean him up and give the right presentation to teams by draft night. He draws comparisons to Patrick Mahomes for his off platform throws. That's something that most NFL teams can't pass up on.
I feel like Maye is the safer pick for the Patriots because he has the prototypical size and arm strength of a franchise QB. He has drawn comparisons to three-time pro bowler Carson Palmer. Also it's going to be less costly to trade up to #2 pick than the #1 pick.
25 Mill a season.. HC/GM. When it went great for 20 seasons he got the credit.. now it's not so he gets the criticism..I want to hold him accountable for the results.
He put this team together. He coached this team.
Doesn't really feel like alot to ask.
I am literally asking you, who were the right guys?
So far you've come up with a guy who never would've come here (Brown) and Christian Kirk (who is a good argument, but you can only pay #1 money to a single player; is Kirk that player?).
Question? I heard that AJ brown wanted to be traded here. Any truth to that? From the actions you would think BB intentionally didn't want a premium WR.I gave you names and you dismissed them all. You believe a guy on his rookie contract like AJ Brown would have been able to veto a trade to the team he grew up a huge fan of because he only wanted to play with his best friend. You claim Christian Kirk is a down the field threat and Mac couldn't throw to him even though that was his bread and butter throw in college.
I gave you names of all the receivers they could have drafted over Harry including AJ Brown, Metcalf, Deebo Samuel, etc.
They could have traded for Hollywood Brown.
They could have signed DeAndre Hopkins.
Could have traded for Christian McCaffrey (who is not a receiver, but one of the best receiving RBs in the league).
Could have traded for Jerry Jeudy.
Could have traded for Calvin Ridley.
Could have traded for Amari Cooper.

Stay the course with Corky Mac.#5 and climbing each week.
I don't know if he wanted to be traded to the Pats, but he definitely wanted them to draft them.
He's making cents on the dollar.. is while krafty will hold on..Stay the course with Corky Mac.
I wrote him off last season early on.
AJ Brown is overtly on the record as wanting to play with his best friend.I gave you names and you dismissed them all. Christian Kirk gets paid #1WR Pro Bowl money. Any team paying a guy top money can't pay 2. This is Cincy's problem right now. Are you content with Kirk being the best WR we could possibly have? (Especially since more than half his contract is guaranteed?) If so, then yes, we should've gone after him. It would've been crazy, but whatever.
McCaffrey wasn't coming here; Hollywood is not a true #1, most people here don't want to trade for Jeudy (go read the thread). You're just naming guys now without any appreciation for how good they are and whether they're even deserving of $20m a year.
On this whole list the only 2 possibilities were Hopkins and Kirk, the former is going on 32 and his production has cut in half for 4 yrs now, the latter is paid #1 money and is perhaps not even a true #1.
When you're putting together a team, you make decisions.
Such as, do I take a stud CB like Gonzalez or a WR like Zay Flowers?
Do I take a guard like Cole Strange or a WR like Treylon Burks?
These are either/or situations.
I prefer taking the stud potential Pro Bowler over the run of the mill player even if that weakens me at some positions. In the thought that I will need a good player at those weak positions eventually if I am to ever win at all. This is why I've always said, the Patriots need a #1 WR. But I'm not going to cry that we took Gonzalez over Zay Flowers.
