Wait.

Just adding a WR is addressing the issue?

Bourne isn't very good. Parker is dog ****. They lost Meyer who also wasn't really that good. They let aggy go who also was dog water.

All these names are number 3s at best.

But it's ok cause they got JuJu

If you thought juju was bathing other than a wr on the decline then you haven't been paying attention.
Hey man - you said literally didn't address and they did. Doesn't mean it didn't fail. Who else are they gonna get? Last 2 years of FA, the big WR pickups haven't exactly resulted in winning (as in over .500) this year for teams that have picked them up (or provided that much contribution like DJ Chark or Robert Woods). Heck Miami had Hill and Waddle last year and only finished 9-8, and Tua started just 1 fewer game than Mac.

Not sure if that release is good for the NFL
I’m not really sold on Ewers… but JJ McCarthy seems solid to me, and they might be able to make Penix Jr work, but not sure where he might get drafted. Heck even Jayden Daniels at LSU in the 2nd might be a good pick.

I mean based on how things look lately, depending on how much dolphin sex Rodgers is listening to, the Jets might end up overtaking both of them.
Imagine ? … he’ll hath frozen

Whats his record without Brady? - you might be shocked at how mediocre it is ..... thus Overrated is in play - his overall record against teams with a winning record without the G.O.A.T. is not even close to .500 - He has not proven he can take ANY team deep into the playoffs if at all unless he hits the jackpot on a QB who carries the team along with some Defense of course

Belichick believers really should check his lifetime HC stats sans Brady - its not pretty - He is/was and will forever be a above average defensive coach who hit the jackpot in 2000 and that put him up on Lombardi level as the wins mounted - stats don't lie
I'm glad during the intentional safety game that Brady got that 3 and out on 3 incomplete passes on purpose backed up against his EZ so that he could do the safety himself, kick a booming kick down the field with that GOAT leg, and stop the Broncos with his mind from the sideline. All him. Amazing.

You either accept this is a QB/WR league or you don't.

Since you're being pretty dismissive about Miami's WR results then it doesn't seem like you personally care about WR.

Hill and Waddle would of changed everything for the Patriots. Last year and this year.

Bill bargain hunting for scrubs isn't addressing the WR issue. I didn't say he literally didn't add a WR.

This team doesn't even have a number 2 WR. They haven't in years. Like maybe since 2017. Bill doesn't care about that. Obviously.

People seem not to have noticed that we've spent a ton of money on receivers over the last few years: Algholor, Jonnu, Hunter Henry, Bourne, Smith-Schuster, Gesicki.

Sure, there are other guys we could've gotten, like Hopkins, but how would they do with Mac as their QB? Not well I'm guessing.

Look at Jonnu. He's going to triple his Patriots production in half a season.

Giving out tons of money doesn't mean the Pats were giving out tons of money to the right guys. Parker and Gesicki are the receivers that Miami thought were expendable because they were stacked. Algholor was more about Belichick's infatuation with him than him producing on the field. Jonnu was an obvious scheme mismatch since he couldn't do anything here. Henry is a good, but not great TE. Bourne spent last year in the doghouse. Smith-Schuster was a waste of money.

Whether or not they could have performed better with a better QB isn't the issue. These guys would not have been good enough unless you had Brady or an elite QB. These are all a bunch of average at best guys for the most part that were overpaid by the Patriots. In today's NFL, you are better off throwing all your money at one great WR than a bunch of average guys.

And you cannot blame Jonnu's complete failure here on Mac. Jonnu was completely useless here. It wasn't like he under performed here. He was a waste of a roster spot. If he was really just a good player who was dragged down by bad QB play, he would have had at least some production here. He just could never pick up the Patriots offense. He may just be a guy who can only play in a simple offense where he doesn't have to think much and then he can excel.

I’m not really sold on Ewers… but JJ McCarthy seems solid to me, and they might be able to make Penix Jr work, but not sure where he might get drafted. Bo Nix is kind of a weird prospect.
I like Bo .. he’s matured. Penix has a cannon .. but he’s got two great wrs… Mc Carthy is a good size with a big upside

Ok I’m sold, let’s give Zappe some reps. It’s an 8 game preseason now. See what he’s got and maybe you can trade both him and Mac if their value is built up to something decent.

Juju is more burnt than burnt toast.
No Zappe, they want draft picks, playing Mac Jones he guarantees losses.

Tom was and is the greatest, but Bill had something to do with those super bowls, if you can't give him some respect for that I don't know what to say.
36-44 record in Cleveland has entered New England

wow you got ONE time he was right! ...bet it took 20 minutes of research on google to find that one

He did it all himself, no help from his teammates or coaches, incredible. Some of these guys are off the rails. BB was the best and now he's old and we need a new start, but damn, give the guy credit for what he did and TB's teammates over the 20 years he was here.

Funny - WR is the main thing I care about... I spend the whole offseason focusing on the draft for WRs. My draft Beankie caught a 50yd bomb diving full extension today. Bittersweet feeling.

FYI, you said, "They literally went into this season without addressing their WR issue." They did. With the WR1 from the SB winning team. It failed. I just wanna see what Boutte can do.

You can keep typing that but Bill drafted him and developed him and the team around him, why can't some of you guys admit that? Bill had the whole system set up, and yes Tom was the best ever and a very huge part of it but not to give Bill credit is just ignorant. His time to go may have come but the past is the past.

I did, although I'm thinking now they win the Giants game and then that's it for wins this year.
If they couldn’t even score much on the Commanders today at home then losing out is definitely possible.

2-15 is in play unless a team/teams lay a huge egg against us ala Buffalo a couple weeks ago. That could happen. If it does I hope it’s KC or Buffalo or the NYJ.

One time who was right? About what? I've only been a Pats fan since '87 when I moved to the area, so I might have to refresh my memory with specifics, but I remember a ton.
