About damn time! Problem solved…

When I saw this photo it reminded me of Lawrence Taylor's first impression of Bill when Parcells introduced him as the new DC. He said he was like who is this guy in the short shorts who has never played football? Then Bill started coaching him and he was like, man, I will do whatever this guy says! lol

While I stand on the clear proof that Mac has looked a lot better this year. He's still falling into one bad habit from last year.
When there's a double route, with a short and deep, he almost always takes the short. This is a great shot of the out route to Henry.
Yes, he completed it. But, right behind that, Parker is going to break wide open on the post-crosser.
When is he going to start hitting these, instead of only trying 30yd corner fades, or 40yd post routes when Bourne is doubled...
Just an observation.
The deep safety already has a running start on Parker's spot....that could have been a "hospital ball" too. And there's a pass rusher coming loose on Mac's blind side (looks like a Cole Strange whiff to me).

Week 3 last year was a super intense physical battle vs. Ravens where Mac was pushing and got hurt.
I just hope this isn't another one like that. I can't take another Zappe mania.

For the first time this season, preseason or otherwise, we’ll have the majority of our starting offensive line on the field at the same time.

We should see a much better product on the field, even if they don’t rack up tons of yards against one of the toughest defenses in the league.

Brandt and Eisen were always Jets fans and they don't hide it. Same with Greeny.
Its one thing to root for the team. But to say they should win so that we can see what BB has to face is weird. Just support your team. Dont hide it.

I am probably misremembering but didn’t Riley have a fumble against the Ravens when he got hit so hard in the head that he was out cold before he even hit the ground?
Wasn't that the AFC championship game? 2012-2013 season.

This patriots team is in a weird limbo state. Not good enough to compete with the elite but doesn't suck bad enough to benefits from top 5 draft pick yearly.
It's a tough place to be in today's NFL standard. They can compete with elite teams.. but haven't beaten them. If.. just if they can get a win by all means.. this would do wonders for the confidence and attitude of the team going forward. They have not tasted a win since the Miami game last season.

Agreed.. now if guys can remain healthy then we can have some continuity with blocking schemes, ect. As you said one of the toughest defensive teams in the league.. I believe Quincy Williams is out right? This game is short passes and the TEs.

Trent Brown and Devante Parker being full-go is good to see. Hopefully we get Jonathan Jones back. I wonder if they will play a lot of multiple big safeties to stop the run and just hope that they can also cover the WRs well enough if needed. It's not like Zach Wilson is likely to beat them throwing, and Gonzo can shadow Garrett Wilson.

Adrian Phillips should play more snaps too, as should Mack truck Wilson... If that means fewer snaps for Jalopy Tavai, then so be it.

If Sam Robert's could get into the rotation that would do wonders with closing up running lanes.. I'm not impressed really by Godchaux.. solid player but nothing special.. I'd like to see the big dogs up front this game to handle the run.
