Based upon how he fell on the shoulder, the labrum tear was most likely due to a shoulder separation. If he needs surgery, it is probably not season ending, but he is most likely going to be out a while….in the 8-12 week range. If he is lucky, it was only a partial tear that can be managed non-operatively with initial immobilization/sling and a cortisone injection, followed by PT/strengthening and recovery, in which case the recovery time would be closer to the 6-8 week range.

The shoulder labrum is a thick piece of tissue attached to the rim of the shoulder socket that helps keep the ball of the joint in place.

How is the recovery from labrum surgery?​

The recovery depends upon many factors, such as where the tear was located, how severe it was and how good the surgical repair was. It is believed that it takes at least four to six weeks for the labrum to reattach itself to the rim of the bone, and probably another four to six weeks to get strong.

Except when they talk about Zach Wilson’s abject suckiness. A QB rating in Dallas of 38%? Three INTs? It’s a big, big game for both QBs and both coaches. It’s the linchpin game in the first half of the season for both teams.

We’re lucky not to be facing a competent QB. I’m looking forward to Wilson making a boneheaded play to give us a golden chance at pulling this out.

BOB said today that Pop’s lack of snaps had more to do with them being in no-huddle a lot and the types of packages they were running, and Pop’s relative lack of knowledge of the full playbook, as opposed to a benching. Makes some sense. He’s a rookie and also coming from a lower level of competition in college (Liberty). May take time to get up to speed on the whole playbook.

BOB was just spouting bs to not throw BB under the bus. It was pretty obvious he was benched for the fumble. God forbid they actually just admit it.

While I stand on the clear proof that Mac has looked a lot better this year. He's still falling into one bad habit from last year.
When there's a double route, with a short and deep, he almost always takes the short. This is a great shot of the out route to Henry.
Yes, he completed it. But, right behind that, Parker is going to break wide open on the post-crosser.
When is he going to start hitting these, instead of only trying 30yd corner fades, or 40yd post routes when Bourne is doubled...
Just an observation.

Someone else - Greg Cosell maybe, maybe not - mentioned that same issue: that Mac doesn't see the deeper open guy if the shallow guy is already open... Considering his offensive Line, I guess I can't blame him; but still, it's a bad habit to develop.

I sure hope Jon is back at full strength. It's going to be slim pickins with a lot more Bryant & Wade.
Who knows, this could be a chance for Wade to show his value. But it'd be great to get Jack back from IR in 2 weeks
