JETS SUCK 2023 EDITION (JOKER CERTIFIED): HARD KNOCKERS

I am disappointed that Arron Rodgers is out for the season. I think the improvement of the Jets pushes the Patriots to try harder and them to be more active trying to keep up with the improved Jets plus improved Fins, the Bills are just better than the Pats. Competition is healthy especially in the AFC East. Before the season started I had the Pats a solid #4 in the East the loss of Rodgers I still have the Pats at #4. The Pats defense while outstanding the best in the division does not make up for the lack of the Pats offense to have that winning punch. The mistakes plus lack of red zone drive just hold them back. Yes it is only one game and this is a pre season and one game decision on my part. Injuries and more games could change this opinion. I am not of the opinion that Mac Jones is a clutch QB capable of bringing in a victory game after game.

Aw Shucks, the Jets have decided that Tom Brady has retired for good and as a result will not be pursuing Tom as Arron's replacement. They claim that the team belongs to Wilson. We shall see if they get someone else as QB. They have an improved defense over last season that should help them like the Pats.

I used the 'ha ha' reaction not because of either injury, but because the Jete were so presumptuous to bring Vinny back for their home opener. Even the posters at the Gang Green forum are saying that was an amazingly stupid thing to do.

My biggest problem with their entire off season, including Hard Knocks, was their attitude "look, all our problems are solved, we got Ahole!".

-- EDIT --

They somehow thought one free-agency signing would eliminate da Jete Stank.

They hadn't accomplished anything at all, but they were already doing victory laps.

They had collected talent, not built a team.

I wasn't at all surprised that their OL got Ahole killed, it was their weakest link.

They had an entire off season to address it, but nope, they signed Ahole's buddies instead.

I really thought the fickle finger of fate was going to **** them up, but I thought it would take four games, not four plays.

The thought crossed my mind that Joker had something to do with it. I can only imagine the posts he would've made around Discount Double Dork's ill-fated exit.

Hey God. It's me. Thanks for everything, but I just want to remind you of this contract between Satan and Joe Namath, and the Jete are looking awfully good on paper this year...

I have this idea. It's relatively harmless and involves Aaron Rodg..
SAY NO MORE. IT IS DONE

[Edit]. I meant to reply to your post above @Tunescribe

When writing my last post about how things have been going for da Jete, I'm wondering if we've reached the tipping point between "da Jete Suck" and "da Jete Are Cursed".

@Ghost of Autumn wrote about Namath's deal with the Devil, and my earlier clips from the ganggreen forum show they think it's a thing too.

I've begun to think we should be thinking more in terms of The Curse of Namath and less in terms of mere suckage.

From all external appearances it looks like da Jete are cursed, and they won't get rid of their curse till they find a way to win the Super Bowl, which IMO now looks far less possible than it did a week ago.

The curse will live at least as long as Joe Namath lives.

Best way i know of to honor @Joker's memory is to post this universal truth again

Jets Suck!!!

Joker passed away?!? When?!?

EDIT: Sorry, didn't see the thread at the top of the board until just now; I usually work my way Up to be chronologically correct...

Tom Brady’s sustained excellence really made everyone ******ed on what you should expect from a 40 year old quarterback. Two weeks ago everyone was pumped to hear he was going to “play until he was 45, like Tom,” and now they’re all cursing their General Manager for guaranteeing big dollars to a 40 year old quarterback lololololol.
In a way I want to feel bad for the screw job that the Jets received this time. The last time was when they built the stadium and the former Jet employee turned commissioner waived a rule (just that once) allowing the SB to be played there. The fans gobbled up PSLs like they were candy.

And then I came back to the reality that they're still the Jets and they suck.

I think it's the Jet suckage that causes their problems, not a curse.

And I think it all started when they tampered with Tuna **** during our SB year. That sucked.
Then they took away Curtis Martin and Tuna **** after the SB. That sucked.
Then they came up with Crygate after doing the same thing to the Pats earlier. That also sucked.
And the Revis tampering. That sucked too.
And now they make their dumbest move ever by overpaying for a has-been QB. That sucked (for them but not for us).

Nope, they just plain suck.
