With Ja. Jones seemingly going to miss this game, it looks like Gonzo will have to play wire to wire.

Given their history, I am not at all optimistic that either JJSS or Parker will consistently contribute this year. I have thought both acquisitions were dumb from the start, the continuation of an unfortunate longstanding pattern of taking on burnt-out vets at wide receiver. We can hope that this affords some of the younger WR's an opportunity to develop, but there too, the record of drafting WR's is hardly fabulous. I'll stop there, since discussion of the inadequacies of our GM, a matter which has "already been discussed," is frowned upon. Oh look, an elephant!!

Different kind of leader I think. Plus there may be captain responsibilities (like organizing team activities or calling player only meetings) that he may not be interested in. Hard to argue with any of the other guys too.

I just thought he'd be a Captain with all the recruiting he tried to do. Plus he's one of the more vocal players on the team. But you're right, there are other responsibilities that go along with it.

As mysterious as it seems with Jack's availability.. he wasn't on the field the last game last season, and he's not on the field this season to start. I like Jack and what he brings at CB. Just feels like he's on borrowed time with the organization going forward. I don't want to see Bryant anymore then we have too.. but unfortunately he's needed. If we can get any out of Wade a tackle, a pass break up.. it would be a revelation. Marcus as you said will be the slot guy I'd imagine?

I'm expecting some big things from HH this season.. I think pundits focus so much on our WRs they forget we have two good TEs. If we could start this season off with a win.. this could be so instrumental in how the season goes.

As mysterious as it seems with Jack's availability.. he wasn't on the field the last game last season, and he's not on the field this season to start. I like Jack and what he brings at CB. We don't want to be down a good CB vs that Team. Jonathan Jones on the outside against Brown or Smith advantage Eagles. Really hope Jack Jones's Hamstring issue is not along the lines of Jalen Mills.

Well seeing as how he's expecting to miss time.. hamstrings are just tough injuries.. they linger on.. Hopefully it's not a tear or anything like that. Becuase they can be season ending... at this point whoever is out there is going to have to man up and play..
