Still rooting for him, but disappointed to date.

they've won 6 titles with Brady and Bill the coach is 25-26 since Brady left. so I'm a Jets fan bc I'm critical of a team that's 25-26 the last three seasons and let the greatest player of all time leave? try again, and go back to worshipping at the Altar of Orchids of Asia

Don’t ask me to explain why you are a jets fan, that’s your burden to bear. But it certainly explains why you have been crying and whining constantly through the Patriots dynasty era.

Bill Belichick drafted and coached Brady from a 6th round pick to the GOAT, and he built 6 Lombardi winning teams around him, as well as a 20 year dynasty, and the only dynasty of thr salary cap era.

Maybe our “One Catch Wonder” just doesn’t do well with practice and pre-season, oh wait, “One Catch Wonder” is basically what he was last regular season. “RuhRoh”!!

Steelers know how to draft LB and WR as well or better than any team in my lifetime. It's not a fair comparison, unfortunately.

The claim has been made that the Steelers have drafted lots more wide receivers than the Patriots -- true or false?

You think that preseason injuries aren't real injuries?
You think a preseason injury makes a player less of prospect?

When a frail looking player can't stay on the field because of injuries, at some point you worry about their durability.
When it reaches the point he can’t stay on the field maybe, but it hasn’t reached that point. No injury he has had has anything to do with your perceived notion he “looks frail”

criticism is not crying and whining. and the first 3 super bowl teams had a considerable core of Bill Parcells draftees - Ty Law, Bruschi, Troy Brown, Ted Johnson, McGinest. but go ahead, keep putting your head in the sand and ignoring the fact that the Coach has put up a 25-26 record over the last three seasons and has 0 playoff wins.
You know who's won playoff games in those three seasons? Such coaching stalwarts as Doug Pederson, Mike McCarthy, Bruce Arians (who'd he have at QB?), Kevin Stefanski.
No one's expecting super bowls every season, and as you've said a million times, the Patriots won 6 when Brady was the quarterback. Belichick is supposedly the best coach in the league, the greatest of all time...well, where are the results since Brady left?
A massive part of the failures post Brady are Bill the Coach's abhorrent drafts of offensive skill players. We don't need to go down the list of skill position busts, but Thornton is simply emblematic of the GM's ineptitude when it comes to drafting players that put points on the board and catch passes.
Who knows, maybe Boutte and Douglas will be productive and help the team score more than 2 TDs a game vs good teams. I'm not banking on it.

They got another one last year too looking the make the Second Year jump wished we had taken a flier on him last year Calvin Austin III.

That CB may legitimately have the worst combination of size and speed of any player on an NFL roster right now. He ran a 4.7 at 168 pounds.

Perhaps the Patriots should hire people from Steelers personal department instead of BB’s mini-me’s.
All the Patriots need to do is use 3x as many draft resources as they do now. Last 10 years the Steelers have taken 10 WRs in the first 4 rounds.

The Patriots? 3 (Harry, Thornton and Malcolm Mitchell).

The Steelers simply use a lot more draft picks. But it's also true that they have a better hit rate of 40% (4 for 10).

The Patriots hit rate of 33% is closer to the league average, but I'd make the case it's meaningless because there are so few picks involved.

The N Harry of CB's?? Players can't control who they line-up across from them that's on the Coaches.

How is Austin a hit?

He's not a bust but he hasn't done anything yet

I said one looking to make the second year jump which is not far fetched for the Steelers. Stop making excuses for BB's crappy WR Drafting he's the GOAT of HC's but he will go down in history as the Worse WR Evaluator that's fact everybody have warts.

Also, here we are discussing a frail Thornton, and you talk about Austin, a 5'9" guy, 2 yrs older than Thornton, 160 pounds, who sat out the entire season with a lisfranc foot problem.

How do we tout one guy but not our own? Especially when our own has done more and is younger?

This is deranged. You tout a guy with a lisfranc injury, he's 5'9 160 pounds, 2 years older, and dismiss our own guys. It's just crazy stuff.

But you tend to do this a lot. Whoever isn't on the Patriots is great. Rinse and repeat.
