Guy is receiving about 3 million this year. I don't see him getting a bonus that will anywhere match or exceed that.

If he wants to hang around on the practice squad for non guaranteed veteran minimum, the team will oblige, but I think Guy finds a gig somewhere else.

If McCall sticks, and we get a disciplined NT who eats two blockers every down, I don't care if he has 0/0/0 tackles/sacks/hurries. Just having that wide-body is a big plus.

Barmore already commands double-teams consistently. Are opposing teams going to sacrifice four blockers for two DL? Not with Judon, Uche, White on the field.

all well and good. but lets face facts, this guy isn't A Donald. he will play limited snaps in a passing league.
I do like the size and the fact that they brought him in. I found Godcheux, Guy and Barmore on the smaller side, and would like to see bigger players on the field some of the time.
I can see a player like him taking a couple of blockers while Bentley, Dugger or Mapu run around for the tackle.

I like Ekuale to stick over Davis. And we know Barmore and White aren't going anywhere.
But McCall could be our next Wilfork. I'm already rooting for him.

I wouldn't expect to see McCall active on game day. Why would he be?

Davis and Guy are part of the rotation, so if he replaces one of them I would expect him to be active.

But the guy can rumble. I'm just excited to see some new potential at NT.
We've all complained that Godchub gets pushed around for 2 years, and doesn't have the "it" factor.
Guy is older and hasn't looked the same all last year.
So, why wouldn't McCall be able to unseat either of those guys?

Yeah I like this claim; They've had chances the last couple or so years to add somebody with this body type but have until now chosen to ignore them... Maybe their poor run defense this preseason has woken them up to Reality...

Agree with those suggesting Guy and Davis are in serious jeopardy of being released. If they keep 6 WRs plus Slater, Schooner, and Board, they’ll be thin someplace else. Given their issues stopping the run and the potential use of Mapu as a LB, it would make me worried to see them thin at DT.

Don't know yet if this is just a case of taking a free look at somebody who played almost every game as a rookie UDFA, or if this is more serious than that and one of Carl Davis, The Big Guy or Godchaux is in trouble...
