Zeke???

Yes, a down year in 2022, but he's no slouch.
If he costs nothing and has no expectations, he’d probably be a decent backup to Rhamondre. I think Fournette probably has a little more juice left. Cook has a bad PR cloud hanging over him. They’ll probably wind up with whoever’s cheapest.

Why is every story about the pats meeting a free agent seem the same.

"They'll have to find a way make the financials work!" As if they are the poor kid at the lunch whose parents gave him no money to spend.

Not like they have $16million in cap space, are one of the highest valued teams....yet 31st in spending
Pats are one of the cheapest teams in the NFL and I'm beyond tired of it. Fact, not opinion. Even Bill said it openly to the media.

Probably. I'll be honest, they both look pretty washed to me. At least Elliot's an elite pass protector. Fournette isn't bad, but he's not on Elliot's level, and truly, if either of them are in the game, it might be one of those 'tells' for the defense.

Yes, they are both half washed. So is Cook. I do not understand why BB is intent on signing one of them if Harris and Strong took 2nd year leaps. I understand the contracts are cheap, but why take time away from the new guys? BB must want a vet.

I think BB values veteran leadership/knowledge in the RB room. He probably misses James White. He might think Zeke can teach the kids a thing or three about pass blocking too.

How old was Corey Dillon when the Pats signed him?

He was 30, and coming off a season where he missed some games and had the lowest YPA of his career (3.9). Sometimes guys need a change of scenery, Zeke could be one of them. That said, Dillon was going to a defending SB Champion powerhouse in a time when running the ball was still a thing teams built around, so I wouldn't expect Zeke to go off for 1600 yards the way Dillon did.

Then he ran himself into the ground chasing his ring in what I consider one of the most beautiful seasons of football I've seen in my life. He played another season or two after still too. I don't think Zeke has that single type of season left even if he has more gas in the tank.

Getting Zeke will help Bill recreate the blueprint he had in Cleveland. Hopefully, Bill can recreate the success he had there without an owner pulling out the rug once again.

A Dillon 2004 is almost impossible to imagine. Having said that : if Zeke can come in, run hard, give Rham a breather here and there, and the D is strong, I can see this as a positive.

Signing Zeke will bring some pinache this team badly needs. I am on board and rooting for it. I was on the fence with Hopkins, but Zeke will make us dangerous on all downs. He loves the game.

Of all those guys, I'd take Zeke because I think BB could get the most of him at this point. He's not that "old" yet, and could provide a well-rounded capable backup for Rham, but it'd have to be a very modest contract.
In other news, I'd love to see MonTy for a full season, because I think he'd be a great asset, but it's starting to look like he'll never make it past 1 game.
