You're acting like I'm taking something away from Brady. I'm not. But the difference between '01 and '00 rosters is night and day.

And by far the biggest difference was the quarterback...Do you disagree? If bledsoe plays all of 2001, do they win the super bowl in your opinion?

Obviously, I don't disagree. But at the same time, and I love Brady as much as the next guy, it was his penchant to not turn it over and manage the offense as the real reason why the team ended up winning a championship that season. In crunch time, he moved the ball and didn't turn it over. That's what they needed that year and then Vinatieri did the rest, while the defense forced turnovers. There was a lot more special about that roster as a whole than just one guy

I didnt say there wasnt, there were a lot of special players on the 2000 roster as well. Having a clutch quarterback who moved the ball, didnt turn the ball over and threw it 50 times in a blizzard was the most important addition though

Yeah Richard Seymour, Matt Light, Mike Vrabel, Brian Cox, Antowain Smith, Marc Edwards, David Patten, Mike Compton, Robinson-Randall, Anthony Pleasant, Roman Pfeiffer, Brian Cox, Terrell Buckley had nothing to do with it

Reid is the best offensive mind in the league. It's not simply a matter of him developing QB's if at all, it's about his ability to gameplan for opposing defenses, create unique plays to get guys open and make his QB's life easier.

If Patrick Mahomes went to the Texans he'd win about as many games as Deshaun Watson did there.

Better question - do they hold the Rams in check and keep it close enough for Brady to beat them with that 2000 defense? My answer is no.

I think Tom Brady had more to do with scoring 6 additional PPG than Antoine Smith, yes

I agree, on a game by game basis, I think BB could win with any player or roster. The difficulty is doing it consistently over the course of a season

Yes, someone earlier stated so what he meant with the QB’s a couple hours a week, I meant to reply to that because for years just Brady and Bill meant in Bills office to go over their next opponents defense, Brady has said those meetings were so valuable to him.

Your argument is now that the 2001 Rams were not talented because of future years with different players. The team that was #1 in total offense and scoring for the 3rd straight year 3 and were #7 in defense and #3 in points allowed.
Prior to that game they were 37-11 in the regular season and 5-1 in the post season but they were soft.
You simply have no integrity.

Didn't realize you were a diehard Rams fan. Look those offenses were stacked... Warner, Faulk, and Bruce are HOFers, Torry Holt was a great receiver. They were a great regular season team but they weren't the same in the postseason with all the chips on the table. Their offense had 3 points in the 1999 NFCCG with 5 minutes left... they won by a score of 11-6. Bruce bailed out Warner on a **** throw that he turned into a 73-yard game-winning reception and yet they were still one yard away from OT in SB 34. They got bounced in the wild card in 2000. The divisional game in 2001 was hilarious with Green Bay turning the ball over 8 times including 6 INTs and 3 pick-6s from Favre. The Patriots held them to 3 points into the 4th quarter of SB 36 when they were looking pretty soft and bullied. Their 2002 team had many of the same players, including all of the HOFers, and they stunk. Warner was awful, he had 1 TD and 8 INTs before getting injured in week 4, and then he wasn't any good when he came back later in the season. I don't know, but when I think of all time great teams, the 2001 Rams don't come to mind. The Patriots, with Brady, an established HOFer by 2004, and many other all time Patriots (Troy Brown, McGinest, Bruschi, Law, Milloy, Seymour), were pretty damn good in 2001.

Sure, Brady got great from sitting in Bill's office for hours. And too, that was happening in 2000? How about 2001 until Mo Lewis happened? Brady got very unexpectedly thrown into action because of an injury to the "QB1." He pretty quickly established himself as the much better quarterback for that team. They only went 14-3 and won the Super Bowl on the first of 6 SB game-winning drives from Brady. I think he was pretty damn good right from the jump. Did he get better? Of course, he became a phenomenal quarterback, and I'm sure the meetings in Bill's office were a good time, but Bill didn't sprinkle clutch pixie dust on Brady, that's something innate.

I've asked this before, but does Brady win six championships playing for Tony Dungy? Or Marvin Lewis? Guy's the GOAT, but coaching absolutely matters. Not that we haven't rehashed that more times than I care to count.

I agree Brady was good from the get go. Nine of us were driving down in a motorhome to the Super Bowl in New Orleans and we kept waiting to hear who Bill was going to announce as the staring QB I believe all nine of us wanted it to be Brady, we finally receIved the call someone letting us know it was Brady, a loud chever erupted.

I've asked this before, but does Brady win six championships playing for Tony Dungy? Or Marvin Lewis? Guy's the GOAT, but coaching absolutely matters. Not that we haven't rehashed that more times than I care to count.

Brady's Super Bowl championship with Bruce Arians really strengthens an argument that Brady could have won multiple championships with another head coach. I don't feel like I have to put a number on it but the number likely would be higher when pared with whoever you or I consider to be the better head coaches respectively.

I've said it before, the Patriots should have won more than 6 Super Bowls. The defense gagged against Eli twice (although the officials also screwed them in 42) and Bill completely botched 2015 and SB 52.

I don't think Bill's a bum, I know in the overall picture he's a great head coach and he especially gets credit for SB's 36 and 53, but I know this though, Belichick would have won 0 Super Bowls with Bledsoe, and he hasn't won one, or even come close, with every other quarterback not named Brady.
