We know the NFL never say never: I know I said Josh McDaniels would never get another HC-Gig. But his success with Drake Maye is not going unnoticed. You know some Owner will back up the brinks: it's Josh McDaniels call either way. I know I would be tempted Josh McDaniels is Big Time.
He is not interested in another head coaching gig in the NFL.

That story about his kids tearing up at a preseason games speaks volumes to me. Also this would be his 3rd chance in a league where second chances are rare enough. I would agree never say never but I think it will be at least 3 years, with Maye earning an MVP or 2, before the combination of a team with the resources that would be appealing, AND josh being willing to move again, are even a possibility. Seems extremely unlikely but I wouldn't put the odds at zero

Which, if true, is huge for this Patriots team. The ascent of Maye - the most important player this franchise has had since 2019 - is enough for all to see JMcD’s value.

I wouldn't state it with certainty if I wasn't completely sure.

1) Vegas is still paying him
2) His family didn't move to Vegas with him, and that was difficult.
3) He's known Vrabel for 25 years and likes him.
4) He's having a lot of fun teaching younger kids than he's used to.
5) Getting that third initial added to the E-P offense isn't something lost on him. After this year, you'll hear lots more about the EPM offense.
6) Josh isn't really known as a liar.

All true and why I said extremely unlikely. Can you say with 100% certainty 3 years from now if he continues to run a top 10 offense and Maye continues his accent there won't be some crazy team that drafted a #1 overall QB the previous year, and has a **** ton of picks/FA money making him a grandfather offer? People's minds can change especially if you put enough zeros behind an offer. That's all I'm saying, I still put the odds under 5% for all the reasons you listed.

In the NFL? Yes. With 100% certainty.

If the John Carroll job opens up in 8 years or something, I could see him doing that - although he loves Westwood, man.
