but fact is there are only 2 teams willing to pay him

Seems that way, but who knows - just needs one injury in TC and things could look very different.
But from Pats/Titans perspective he's worth somewhat less if he comes only after TC, so there is a risk for him waiting.

From my perspective, the Pats have by far the most cap room in the NFL over the next several years, so personally I think they should just sign him and not quibble too much over his paycheck. Could be he's being unrealistic of course and asking $20m a year guaranteed - in that case we have to wait until the market shows him it is unrealistic.

Chiefs are going to repeat regardless. As long as Mahomes and Kelce stay healthy, they will win it.
Just like they have every year they've been together

We don't know that. One report I saw said he is asking for more than OBJ got.

The reports are that he is looking for $10-12 million with the ability to get back the $18 million he was supposed to get from Arizona in incentives. That isn't that much.

Here is OBJ contract for comparison - with incentives he can reach $18 million ($15 million guaranteed), but pretty hard to do:

Lombardi a bit skeptical on the Hopkins fit with the Pats - points out he is basically a slot receiver now, so lots of overlap with current receivers:

Well the thought of landing Hopkins was nice while it lasted.

Ha!

I had to read your post like three times before I got it. The first two were "the fekk is he talking about?".

I believe DHop is using the pats. Stringing them along until he gets an offer from a team he wants to play for.
I doubt he really wants to play with Mac.
He is 31. He was never a burner (4.57 40).
He hates practice. Did not get along with O’Brien.
Pats should move on
Bad cultural fit, does not really want to play here (he said so earlier)
Likely on downside of his career
What is the fascination. He is a malcontent waiting to metastasize

Let him go.

All true perhaps... But without him here, our WRs aren't collectively good enough to compete in the AFC.

Yeah, I feel good about going into the season with Parker who won’t be available 17 games, Thorton who always seems hurt and won’t play 17 games, JuJu hasn’t logged a single practice yet with his new team cause of an injury dating back several months now.

They need help and Hopkins is the only answer available, and a damn good one at that.

They won’t compete as AFC top team with or without him.
I think you're dead wrong here D-Hop makes us way better he's like having an Elite version of Meyers. It's been already stated but D-Hop posts Meyers numbers in 7 games last year yeah that guy who some around here wanted to give $20Mll.
