What is this thing about spaghetti?

A hunch is based on a feeling. A feeling is based on information. Of course, there never is "proof" behind a hunch, but there always is a REASON involved. You have none, you are just a trolling idiot negatively stirring the pot.
My guess is he uses the tactic of throwing his spaghetti against the wall to see if it sticks.

Pitchers and QBs are charted the same.

If the QB is off his game.
So basically you are saying the only reason Brady lost those 66 games was because he sucked? And conversely the ONLY reason they won all those other games was he played well.

That my friend, sums up your entire understanding of football. So since you are a savant poster, we should all take the next few seasons off and find another diversion, because according to YOU there is only one position that matters even though 50 odd other guys get paid too.

I’d say our corners were overmatched by the NFL’s best “big” WR’s, the Pats did pretty well against the best small WR’s like the Miami tandem… especially since our offense was dead weight.

They seriously needed size and length to match up against the Diggs and Bengals WR’s of the world.

We got the best “big” CB prospect in the draft to fill that need. Onto day two…
Absolutely agree!!! As much as I absolutely love Marcus Jones he's not an outside corner.. we have a great overall group of corners.. however Gonzalez I feel very good about his ability and what can be for this team..

Christian Arcan says that the league hates Gonzalez and Bill can't pick CBs so this guy will obviously suck.
Don't think he will be as bad as arcan and Jones mid-day show..

Watching him he looks to me like a guy who will not exactly get many interceptions but he'll knock down a lot of balls. He just sticks to his man. He's not too flashy. Gets the job done.

Agree!!! Revis never got many INTs as well.. but he locked guys up where you wondered if the WR even played that particular game. Gonzalez feels to me like a special player, his attitude his, he seems humble he seems like he wants to be great.

Ken, you must have missed this earlier:

According to Phil Perry the reason Gonzalez dropped in the Draft is because he’s an unwilling tackler and it is very Un-BB-like to Draft such a corner. It’s probably why they passed on him at 14. According to Perry, the Pats liked Forbes, but when Gonzo dropped to 17 he was too good to pass up.

I still like the pick. In today’s NFL coverage ability trumps all else.

No coke bottle glasses, I asked where you would rank Jones which as expected you have manufactured a diversion because you have no clue.

Who will you blame this season if Jones looks like dog 5hit? Keep it under 500 words?

HAHAHA. This team is a QB away from competing for a Super Bowl again.

Talk about diversions. Your whole world is nothing but a giant fantasy. Long winded meandering blather does not put on a pedestal here. It may amongst your peers in Massachusetts which I'm 100% positive you're a rock star. They are waiting to hear your take on current affairs as the ship goes down. Bagdad Bob would be proud.

Since you brought up MONEY.

1 position is paid the most. Why would that be Einstein?

I heard the same thing as well. However revis had that tag on him too about tackling. However I watched some thing on him on YouTube and from what I saw he was a great tackler.. Peter King feels this is the best place for him to be as he feels new England does a great Job of making good players great! Revis, butler ,Gilmore even when they left had nothing but great things to say about the organization and how they were made to be better players.

Patriots needed a tall CB because big WRs and TEs had a hay day last season.

6 - 4 Tee Higgins 129 yards - 1 TD
6 - 2 Adam Thielen 61 yards - 1 TD
6 - 1 Justin Jefferson 139 yards - 1 TD
6 - 0 Stephon Diggs 196 yards - 2 TDs
6 - 5 Allen Lazard 116 yards - 0 TDs
6 - 5 Mark Andrews 89 yards - 2 TDs

Looking forward to 2023. George Pickens 6 - 3, CeeDee Lamb 6 - 2, Chris Olave 6 - 1, Travis Kelce 6 - 5, Jerry Juedy 6 - 1.

If they liked Forbes they would've taken him at 14.

The way I read the trade is that they liked Forbes and Gonzalez equally.

It's really hard to read it any other way.

BTW, can you imagine the howling on this board if Belichick had drafted Forbes at 17 after passing on Gonzalez at 14?

It would've made the Cole Strange discussion look positively friendly!

Yep.

There is a difference between an unwilling tackler and a good tackler.

In that same article teammates cited Gilly as a very willing tackler in the postseason. Reg season he picked his spots.

I'd be OK of Gonzo was the same way.

Forbes is 166 lbs, i had my reservations about him.. not to mention all those pick sixes from college don't necessarily translate to the NFL

Gonzalez has plenty of good tackling in his highlights, i mean hes no rodney harrison but thats not what you're expecting or looking for in your shut down corner

Deion Sanders is the best CB to ever play the game and he hated tackling, and was bad at it

His film show off his excellent recovery speed and agility including vs the run. He *does* tend to avoid head-on wrap-up tackles in favor of a more rugby style using his whole body. He may avoid concussions that way but will certainly whiff on a few takedowns in the NFL...

The problem with Perry saying that Gonzalez is an "unwilling tackler" is that the tape shows otherwise. There is tape out there showing Gonzalez doing more than just cut tackling RBs out of the backfield.

The Pats didn't "pass" on Gonzalez at 14. They got a trade offer that allowed them to add a 4th round draft pick while keeping the possibility of drafting Gonzalez or Forbes very real since they were fairly certain the Jets wanted Broderick Jones and not a CB. That's just working the draft well.
