The problem with Hooker is that he will be 26 yrs old by the time he has a quality season for you. I mean, I’m not so sure how I feel about that. It could mean that he’s hit his glass ceiling in development, that he’s gonna age out quicker, that he’s developed bad habits that you just aren’t going to be able to break. On the other side, you can say he’s more mature, clearly football is important to him as he has never given up, and at worst, what you see is what you’re going to get. Solid prospect with upside. Could definitely become a starter in the league with that arm, size and mobility. At worst, you’ll get a very very good back up? IDK. I’d be just fine with drafting him, but at the bottom first to second rd? Nah. Too many holes for a guy you’re gonna have to wait on. If he dropped to 3rd or 4th? Now we’re talking.

I watched some AT Perry. He has excellent size and hands. It is amazing that a guy that big could run a 4.47 at the Combine, but I did not see the breakaway speed that Hyatt has; watch how Hyatt separates just before and after the catch--and then he is gone. AT Perry is a good solid player, but not a burner. This is hardly a professional opinion; it only based on a minute or two of highlights. I don't know the background of these players; Hyatt could be the next Rae Carruth or the next Waddle.

What a dilemma if Hooker falls to the Patriots in the second. I sort of hope it does not happen so that the Patriots are not tempted to end up with 3 good QBs (or 2 and a bad trade to get rid of Mac).

Is Hooker the best QB in the draft? Not sure, but it seems very possible.

Trust me I love Hyatt and hope he ends up in the NFC if we don't Draft him. That said AT Perry is 6'3 and runs like a deer I love his upside I would be tempted if he's around in the Third. Trey Palmer from Nebraska is not bad either blazed it at the Combines.

Hyatt was the First WR I really liked from this draft he reminds me of Green Bays Christian Watson last year on tape. He runs away from people like they are walking in mud his game speed is on another level. I have said this many times I hope OC BOB likes Hyatt I think he could scheme him open he could be a sneaky Pats pick.

RPO’s account for less than 15% of offensive plays called. It’s like the play action pass. It’s a tool that every team should have in the playbook to call upon. Back to Hooker, he still has some serious work to be done. If he sits the first year, that would allow him to get the reps and practice he needs I guess.

I watched a bit of Hooker when he was at VT, not when he was at Tennessee, and just from what I saw there I don't think he's anywhere near the Patriots radar at any point earlier than the 5th round. But I could be wrong and maybe he improved to another level during his time at Tennessee

As I am watching Hooker, I am saying to myself, who the heck is this number 11 he is throwing to? I want him too! I looked him up; his name Jalin Hyatt. Hyatt looks like he can fly--he just walks away from SEC CBs! I checked his 40 time, 4.40, excellent, but I think that there is more to it than that since he appears to be able to accelerate on the fly like few I have seen (Waddle could do that).

I am sure you guys are rolling your eyes and know all about Hyatt, but it was a interesting discovery for me. I doubt BB will draft him, but I would hate to see him in a Miami or Buffalo uniform.

Damn, Brady was lucky to come out in 2000 and just barely get drafted then. Nowadays he would even get that 6th round chance because in your take every dual threat QB coming out of college has more upside than Brady despite none of them ever having won anything in the NFL, let alone doing it for 20 years like Brady or even 18 years like Peyton Manning.

It's always been the case that the NCAA has been dominated by dual threat QB's but in the NFL "pro-style" QB's are the ones with long term success. That's because in college you only need 2-3 years out of your QB but franchise QB's are expected to have 10+ year careers in the NFL. Dual threat QB's lose the ability to run just like RB's do. That's why a Brock Purdy has more actual NFL upside than Trey Lance despite their injury history.

Pump those breaks. Morgan should be in the HOF and probably would have averaged 30 ypc in today’s NFL (vs. 20 ypc in an era when assaulting a WR only occasionally drew a flag). To borrow from The Tuna, let’s not put Hyatt in the HOF just yet.

Really like Hyatt and nice to see not the only one. Watched a lot of him this year and he seems to have “it”. Looking like he could sneak into the end of the 1st or early 2nd, but if he somehow finds a way to 46, would be thrilled.

Look at the QBs that are great - what do they have in common? Great athleticism? Nope. But I will give you a 2nd guess.
