OT: Jalen Hurts Becomes Highest Paid Player in NFL History

I agree. At some point in time we'll have a clear QB1 and we'll have to pay big bucks to keep him. The real question is if Mac will be a clear QB1 worth paying once the key decisions have to be made. We'll have to decide to tag him or not next off-season or give him an extension, or trade him, or let him walk after four years, so this season is pivotal.

It's a real freaking shame that the coaching situation was so bad last year. It really cost us a year of development time with Mac. Yet that's water under the bridge now. All it means is more pressure on Mac to perform well this season, he has to make up a lost year through no fault of his own. Clearly he understands this, he's in camp early trying to get on the same page with BOB.
Absolutely!!! And it's a good thing if it ended up being Mac as they guy who's earned that contract.. Mac was drafted here for a reason. He impressed his rookie season and even vets on opposing teams were saying the kid has it.

Your absolutely right last year the chemistry experiment gone wrong last season set back the organization. As you said now it's done with.. I'm happy to see Mac back early, and I want the competition. I want the best out of Mac because I truly believe he can lead this organization back to winning and being a play-off team.

YIPES!! Seems like just yesterday he was “Jordan Love”!

I posted it way before the Bruins game. How's THAT for semantics!
Well then the world isn't ending. On your way nothing to see here.

Jackson is clearly as good if not better. Balty has spent the least on the WR position - never going above 8m and has bungled that position as bad as anyone with a QB like Jackson on a rookie deal. And he's only 2 years older. Last year wasn't a good look but a lot of people understand his position with so much money on the line.

Back to the WR corp. Hurts is throwing to Brown who's a top 5-8 WR and Smith who's top 15-20 at worst. Along with a top 5-10 TE in Goedert and a top. Context matter rookie.

There's no serious football mind that doesn't believe Hurts is better than Jackson.
Yes, you got that exactly right.

Yes, you got that exactly right.
I did that to myself lol.

Point stands though. No serious football mind thinks Hurts is better Jackson. He's just in an ideal spot. Maybe top 3 in football rn

And this is coming from a Hurts fan. Even before Bama.

Good for Hurts and kuddos to his agent, knowing that coming off taking his team to the Superbowl was the best time to go for the extension. Hurts will now have generational money, that he can leave to his family. Football is a brutal game and you never know what play may be your last, smart to take the money.

You are really living up to your rookie status in this thread. How long have you been an Eagles fan?
Aww, you had to go to the "You don't post much" and "You must be a fan of this other team". I'm sorry.
