Typo aside, this doesn't make as much sense as you think you're making.
Bob obviously thinks Meyers didn't fit his playing style as Rob pointed out. I mean clearly the Patriots could have resigned Meyers if they wanted to lets not beat a dead horse.

He barely outperformed Meyers on an offense with a QB lightyears better than ours.

nvrmnd, HoT got to it first

Ok I like this. Now lets get a true no1, so we can judge Mac's ability with a real OC and WR1.

No more excuses of "he doesn't have a legit weapon" this year. He's either the guy or he's not this season then we move forward either way.

Myers had to compete with traffic cones for targets. Schuster had to compete with Kelce.

Makes no sense. Meyers was their best WR over the last two seasons.
Makes perfect sense. Just because you are the "best" on the team, doesn't mean he should be retained. Upgrades are needed. Case in point Bill let Talib walk and traded for Revis. Then Butler was their "best" CB in 2017, but Bill signed Gilmore instead rather than giving Butler a new deal.

He had Kelce. Meyers hogged majority of the targets.

I don’t know how anyone could be upset about this signing. We signed the better receiver.
Absolutely agree! I've mentioned that Juju was a great pick up

I like Bourne and Parker but if they want Higgins they need the cap space and both those guys become redundant.

Higgins moves the needle.

Love the JuJu signing but it's not going to scare defenses.
I hear ya, but if you have that many new players at the position I'd be hesitant to dump Bourne in favor of Berrios. Bourne isn't that expensive and would have familiarity with the team and system. I suppose Berrios has some level of familiarity too, so maybe not a huge deal but having at least one guy who has been here a couple years seems beneficial.

Pats didn't want him, not the other way around - confirmed
When I read “THEY WANTED ME and I wanted them”
I knew that it was the Pats that wanted to move on

Meyers haven't put up 1000yds or 900yds yet in a season let's not kid ourselves. Juju did that impressively twice I think Bob made this choice.
He had Antonio Brown on the team. It matters.

Cut Bourne and Parker and save $11m in 2023.

Trade 14th to Cinci for Higgins.

Sign Higgins 5y/$120m $60m guaranteed

WR1- Higgins
WR2- JuJu
TE1- Henry
TE2- Rookie
RB1- Rham
WR3- Berrios
WR4- Thornto

no way getting higgins, get judy for a 2 and 4 this year and a 2 next year or bite the bullet and give the 14 to denver they need draft capital because of wilson....

Well we need to get our version of AB to compliment him Trey Palmer Nebraska.
