I like this draft a lot. I would hardly care if the Patriots bunched many of this year's and next year's picks to move up and take a tackle and TE after taking a CB.

There are many good ones. Perhaps that weighs into this. Free up capital to sign guys where the free agent market is strong, fill your weaknesses remaining with picks where the draft is strong.

I’m happy that I won’t have to watch Jonnu play for the Pats anymore. I’ve never seen a player so unable to look for the ball and run at the same time. Too many times he was open when the ball was released, then he slowed down to look for the ball and it resulted in what looked like an overthrow.

Extending him last year was an awful idea. Glad the mistake extension didn’t turn into a second mistake of keeping him an extra year.

Remember that new contracts will use mostly 2024 and future Cap Spaces, only the minimum in 2023.

While im sorry Jonnu didnt pan out here . this is huge boost (and somewhat unexpected) to 2023 FA.

Im biased of course since i thought he could thrive here . but the circumstances didnt help his game
(OC+WR+OL were part of this failure as well not being able to expand the field/give time and space for Jonnu to work his TEN magic)
ATL is a great place for his game . dont be surprised if he thrives. Theres a reason they were willing to take this.

Ive been watching him. He's fast but does not have the agility and athleticism. He's useful as a giant in the end zone, and watch out but he can run when he gets the ball. I just don't see him having the agility to get open easily. But he can run block at that size.

If you watch Kincaid, you quickly realize that you have a TE who can play like Kelce, and he might be the best to come out in many years other than Pitts.

When mcDaniels was asked about him, he kind of blinked and gave a peculiar answer. Didn't know what to say. I can only imagine that Jonnu and the Patriots' playbook don't mesh.

I said this before and will say it again Jonnu was only 50 yards better with McDaniels a Real OC: Bob is no miracle worker he saw enough or very little of Jonnu like we did to come to a conclusion.

You had baptized Michael Mayer as Baby Gronk a few weeks ago. Both are very good TE prospects, neither are Gronk or play like him

I still think Darnell Washington is going to be very good and we could use his Blocking trait.

This is too strong for the kid at this stage. I do like Washington, but the problem is 14 is too early to take him, and he likely won't be there at 46. So is he worth trading up in the 2nd round (like they did with Barmore), when they have other needs to fill as well? Maybe, but that's not a slam dunk.
