2023 NFL Combine Thread

Interesting I wouldn't take him @14 but on a Trade Down picking up a extra selection win win.

4.39. That's freakin' fast for a big man. Safe to say the man's stock will rise. Where was he ranked before @BaconGrundleCandy ?

Was and will probably still be in the 2nd for me. Honestly not that shocked. He's just really fast - acceleration, closing speed. Plays like a missile.

Some knucklehead GM is going to get enamored with the speed. If Al Davis was still alive, Smith would be house shopping in Vegas already.

With the 14th pick of the 2023 NFL draft...

I prefer Zay Flowers, but we need a LT as a higher priority. No reason to have shiny receivers if Mac is on his back.
What if those shiny new receivers gets open quickly? That takes a lot of pressure off the OL ie...Zay Flowers - Josh Down and Tank Dell.

A slot guy would be great. Dell is so small I wonder how he will do. Not sure I want a WR before a LT.

Tank Dell on tape seems elusive just teach him to go down like the greatest show on turf Ram WR's before contact 10 year career in the making right there.

Listen I'm with the OT's, folks, but you might be able to use cash saved on Meyers, to upgrade at Slot with Njigba, and sign a OT. Also you a get a Comp. Pick since all I read is Meyers getting big bucks. Nice player, but if he goes I won't lose sleep. Njigba same kind of player. Who was a stud 2 years ago.
Slight trade back, get Njigba, and get back in the 1st for a OT if one is there still.

When will WR's run at the Combine??

Hard to throw over the LBs to Dell since he is very short, so he is limited to the very closest parts of the field. Dell will be a under-slot receiver. HaHa. For example, Tremaine Edmunds, the Bills' LB, is 6'5" I think, so Mac could never lollipop a pass over Edmunds and down to Dell. Dell can only stay between Mac and Edmunds. There will be throwing "lanes" at the second level and the on the outside, but Dell is limited where he can catch a ball.

Interestingly enough, if receiver wasn't the position he's a prototypical patriot pick. High floor, great skills for the position, several year starter, cerebral player. Everything about him does scream Patriot.

Seems like the Corners ran if they are that fast might be more depth than we originally thought. I'm passing @ 14 for CB based off some of those 40 times.

Thanks. Sauce Gardner ran a 4.41sec 40 at 6'3" tall. Gonzalez, 4.38 sec, looks good, but I cant find Witherspoon (injured?), and Smith and Porter are surely not blazing fast at 4.45 and 4.47 sec.

Neither was Ty Law but he could neutralize the WR within Five yards and be very effective.

clark phillips and jaylon jones with not good times
