How well he expected the shower term solution to work out has nothing to do with the fact it was a short term solution.

You are comparing a post that lists the things that happened which clearly indicate what the plan was to a guy who says Robert Kraft made a public statement that he never made and the poster uses a completely unrelated article to “prove” it.


To recap: the events that occurred are compelling evidence that the 2022 coaching assignments were a stopgap to the solution of BOB OC

And the claim that Bob Kraft public stated he wants BOB to replace BB was entirely made @Triumph

But Ken & Andy are stating this as fact. They're not saying it's their opinion. They're saying this is what Bill planned all along, as a matter of fact.

What I find ironic is that in an effort to insulate Bill from his disastrous decision, they don't realize that if in fact what they claim is true, it makes his decision much worse. It says that Bill was willing to risk the development of Mac and the success of the team, just so that he could get his "guy," his buddy, his friend, one year later. They actually claim that if BoB is able to turn the team around, that the decision was worth it. I mean, wow.

Does everyone agree that if BoB is able to somehow turn the offense around, that having the circus of Patricia/Judge in town that resulted in a totally wasted season, was worth it?

BOB might be great. Bill and Robert love BOB, so they waited for him. Wasted a season, I agree. Was it worth it? We will see. Does not feel right, but who knows.

It's weird. We have BB saying "Coaches coach" meaning he had more of a "next man up" philosophy with regards to coaching. You add the frankly odd decision to block Caley from leaving last year and then not promoting him. Why would BB, who's chasing Shula, give himself less of a chance of catching him by hiring two guys who have minimal experience with the offensive side of the ball have a built-in "bridge year"? Why would he waste a year of development of his young QB waiting for his guy to play out his contract? I think we can all agree that BB is a very competitive guy. Why would he have a built-in bridge year given how the team finished in 2021 (getting their pants pulled down twice by the Bills)? Why would BB have the Matt/Judge combo install new concepts when his plan all along (according to some) was to bring in BoB and re-install the old offense a year later?

It would make more logical sense that BB honestly thought that the Matt/Judge thing would work since they were both HC's and they would run that side of the ball the way he wanted it to.

How do OC interviews even go? Serious question. I'm curious what goes on in that interview. Do they give game scenarios of "This team frequently runs xyz how do you attack that scheme on this down and distance" Or is it more of a philosophical question of "What elements of an offense are most important" etc

I'll have to ask Bill or Bob the next time I talk to them.
