I know this guy is satire but Jesus, I hope this isn't true.

BS watch his tapes you can clearly see IMPACT written all over him I was singing his tune all last Draft he was the WR I wanted most of all. I know the Patriots was going to Draft a WR and most likely the wrong one. Yeah I hope Boney T pans out but based on BB WR Drafting history not holding my breath.

Yes. What you're spewing IS BS. Thank you for letting everyone know.

Pickens had HUGE attitude issues. That's why he's not on the Patriots. Feel free to go watch the Steelers and post on their board from now on.

Really?? Good character players can bust too I like guys with spunk screw the choir boys. Playing on the Football Field is not a academic exercise. Hey they Drafted CB Jack Jones who have some Issues amazing player see.

The Patriots drafted Jack Jones because he remade himself after his arrest and kept his nose clean for 3 years under Herm Edwards.

Since you weren't paying attention, Pickens got ejected in the Pit/Cincy game. For a hit that he should have been fined for but wasn't. He's continued to immature stuff at the Pro level. Like stepping over the back of an opponent who was on the ground as part of his catch celebration against the Ravens.

The sad truth is that Patricia is a bad OC and Jones is a below average QB.

You're 1 for 2 there.
Mac is not a "below average" QB. Mac has his issues. No one is saying otherwise. Claiming that he's below average because of the crappy year the entire offense had due to the O-line issues is ridiculous.

he was below average last year don’t let the 3 blow out fool you.

Outside the 3 blow out

14G (83% of the season) 14TD 13INT 87.1 RTG

That’s below average.

This team isn’t winning anything significant with Mac Jones and Bill knows it. If your wish as a pats fan is win 8-10 games a year sneak in the playoffs as the 6 or 7 seed and lose in the WC round then yes Mac Jones is your guy. But we will never be competing with Allen, Mahomes, Burrow.

I prefer to swing for the fences as much as possible trying to compete with Buffalo than settling for an OK QB with whom I can win some games but have no shot of going deep in the playoffs

So I repeat what is your goal as a patriots fan? Win championship or sneak in the playoffs with no real chance to go anywhere?

Going in the playoff with Mac Jones is the equivalent of the Titans coming to Gillette in the division round with Mariota as QB or Houston with Osweiler.

Sorry, but your analysis leave so much to be desired and is extremely flawed. You don't even have the number of Int's correct. It's 11, not 13.

You completely and utterly ignore the fact that the O-line was atrocious in 2022. You completely ignore how bad the coaching from Patricia and Judge was.

How many of those 11 Ints were the fault of Agholor and Parker? Did Mac have some bad Ints of his own? Yep. Not saying otherwise. But I think there were 4 between those two receivers where it was their fault.

You conveniently ignore that Mac completed 65.2% of his passes despite taking more sacks and being under pressure more, in general.

Yes, I have issues with Mac. He seemed to regress in some areas. I don't know how much of it was because of coaching, but based on Daniel Jones improvement with the NYG, I'd say a LOT.
But your opinion is noted.

Interesting... So if we stay at 15 odds are we get another QB?
Could be a possibility depending who is on the board. I still think the Patriots should take the best OL on the board. They have a good backfield and need to give them strength and speed upfront. And for God's sake, get an experienced OL Coach.

I think it is the 14th pick and I assume OT or CB - two positions BB highly values.

Evan Lazar thinks this could be true too. And he unfortunately isn’t joking.

If Lazar is right and Belichick goes to Kraft and tells him that he wants to trade Jones and he and Patricia will review available QBs to run Patricia’s offense, both Belichick and Patricia could be looking for a new job soon.

Kingsbury would be a particularly interesting choice because he comes from a very heavy air-raid background, conceptually. That is right up Zappe's alley given the stuff he ran in college at WKU. I'll be curious who becomes OC; we should hear something fairly soon.

So Bill thinks MP is a good OC and Jones was the issue? Are they secret lovers or something I don’t get Bills obsession with this dude.

And if Bill really thinks he put Mac in the best position to succeed after the mess HE created, then I’d be perfectly fine with Kraft letting him go, cause if that’s the case then Bills really lost his mind.

Kraft has no choice in that situation.

Wild to say in 3 short years we’ve gone from in Bill we trust to what the.

Would elevating Billy Yates to that position help? The one voice type deal... Instead of Matt and Billy, just billy? Not sold on him completely but he does have experience as both a player and coach...

I just find it funny that apparently people were willing to give Bill more credit in his ability to judge whether Brady could still provide top tier QB play after 2019 than in his ability to judge whether Mac Jones is a QB you can win anything with in this league. I just want to see a glimpse from Mac, a couple of games he put together where you can project and say "here's what he could be for you if he develops". Where are they? Trevor Lawrence sucked his rookie year and still put together some incredible plays on film that made it so you could get excited about the projection of him becoming consistent and getting better coaching. When Mac has been asked to carry the offense he's made some plays but also turned the ball over a ton, when Mac hasn't been asked to carry the offense, he has made little mistakes, but also very few plays. Where is the upside? I think Kenny Pickett kinda sucks, and even he put together some impressive drives at the end of games to pull off wins.

I'd still give Mac year 3 with adequate offensive coaching and see what he has, I'll agree the evaluation for 2022 has way too many variables for us to isolate his performance and state definitively what was or wasn't his fault, I just haven't seen much to get excited about. I don't think it's preposterous if Bill believes he isn't the guy (though it would be preposterous for him to believe Matt Patricia did his job well enough this season).
