Official 2022 Tompa Bay Gronkaneers Thread

Bucs are so inconsistent that whether they win each game is almost like a coin toss. SF is the only team that I don't give them much chance.

The main difference in the Panthers game were Brady and Evans were connecting deep and there were a couple big plays from the rbs. On a normal day, the rbs struggle just to get 4 yards. There were still a lot of 1st down runs for minimal yards.

In the Dallas game, I expect to see a lot of 1st down runs up the gut as usual. Cause that's what they do even with a historically bad run game. If Jensen is in, that will hopefully give them an extra yard or two per run up the gut and thus Brady won't have to play too much 3 down Canadian football.

Sad thing is dallas should get your chef down the field but we know dumb and dumber won’t do it

Please don’t overrate the Cowboys. If this was against literally any other NFC playoff team I’d feel differently but I am beyond confident that the Bucs will win THIS game.

This is awesome.

Brady leaving and winning a SB with another team enhanced his legacy as much as the previous 3 SB's combined did. He could have won 8 in NE and the conversation would always turn to ''...yeah but Belichick...''. Post-Tampa Brady doesn't have any detractors, even his biggest haters threw their arms in the air and conceded defeat. This buffoon Kellerman made a career out spouting stupidity like ''Rodgers would win 10 with Belichick'' and now Brady is untouchable.

It's even bigger than that for Brady's legacy. It's not just the fact that Brady left and hasn't missed a beat but also the fact that conversly Belichick immediately faceplanted. It's not like that after the separation both kept being great, nope only one did. It would be like if after the Beatles broke up John did what he did while Paul went on and formed Limp Bizkit.

Kidding aside, i agree, but at least we had a 7 season sample size off Belichick without Brady. He was 55-59 (56-60 including the playoffs) without Brady, made the playoffs once, had 5 losing seasons in those 7 years. Since Brady left, he's 25-25 (25-26 including the playoffs) had 2 losing seasons, and made the playoffs once. Basically he's what anyone with 2 eyes and more than 50 brain cells knew, a great DC, a pretty good coach and that's about it. Other coaches have done far more than him with less. Rex Ryan took the Jets to consecutive AFC Championship games with Mark Sanchez. Put any version of Brady on those teams, and any version of Sanchez on the Pats, and Rex Ryan would be considered a GOAT level coach and Bill would be fired.

How in the world could anyone watch Brady deliver magic for 20 years and think that the coach was more or equally important will never be intelligible to me. Belichick could give Brady Chris Hogan, a practice squad level player, as his #2 WR and call it a day. Hogan was #2 in 3 straight SB's. I think drafting an absolute bust like N'Keal and the misadventures of Brown and Gordon broke the camel's back for Brady, but except that final year, it really didn't matter who the players on offense were, the Pats were a top 5 offense no matter what.

Preach!!!

The Bucs signed linebacker Ulysees Gilbert III to the active roster from the practice squad Tuesday, the team announced.

They placed cornerback Anthony Chesley on injured reserve in a corresponding move. He injured a hamstring late in the Week 18 loss to the Falcons.

Chesley made two tackles in seven games, seeing action on 17 defensive snaps and 110 on special teams.

Anyone still holding out on admitting Brady is the GOAT is just being disingenuous.

That’s going to be a MASSIVE boost for the offense.
It will, although I'm not sure what to expect since he hasn't taken a gameday snap all year long... and it's the playoffs. It's not like they can afford a couple games for him to get up to speed. It'll be impressive if he can immediately upgrade the interior.

Donald made 1st team all pro despite missing half the year. Why can't they get these things right? He's not an All Pro this season and I can't wait for AI to just remove all these humans from the equation. Media also in love with Kelce brothers.

Miami has to be done with Tau the concessions are a real concern

No doubt. Brady winning in Tampa in year one did more for his personal legacy than any other win in his career. It has also been enhanced by Bill going 42-44 in NE without Brady as his QB and missing the playoffs the last 2-3 years and not winning a playoff game at all.

BTW, even though I will always believe it is the players and not the coach most responsible for winning and I have always felt Bill was a great coach, this last season has made me rethink Bill. Hiring Patricia and Judge with his second year QB coming off a promising rookie season is just mind boggling. The coaching this year was atrocious. Bill literally sabotaged any good feeling we had of this team coming to the end of the rebuild and moving into a contender. We went backwards this year big time and if Bill insists on keeping Patricia and Judge we will wallow in futility for the foreseeable future.
