IMO if we overhaul the OL that puts us in the playoffs. Add a #1 WR that makes us pretty dangerous.

Improve offensive system. I really don't think Bill OBrien is the answer, but we will see

Our D is good enough for a playoff team, don't think overhaul necessary

Get a new Punter as well.

Yikes a really good Draft pick might be traded for nothing.

Would anyone be shocked if they moved on from Mac this offseason?

I would not be shocked.

I think Mac deserves another year, but I definitely would not be shocked

I won't be shocked whatever happens. I wouldn't be shocked if Belichick is gone. So I certainly wouldn't be shocked if Jones is traded.

Belichick seemed pretty ornery today and seemed to point fingers everywhere other than his coaching staff. So unless Kraft draws a line in the sand about Patricia, I could see Belichick making Jones the fall guy for Patricia and Judge.

I heard the opposite, he constantly included himself in the "we made mistakes" talk, blamed coaching, and himself.

I didn't hear all the press conference, but it seemed he deflected from the coaching staff and even kinda pointed the finger at Kraft for not spending enough from the clips I heard, but of course radio shows clip the clips they want to create discussion.

it maybe true but no one says "i think" or "Some people in the know think" more than albert breer.
And I even think he talked back to Bill a little bit about it, to the point where Bill felt like he had to address it in a team meeting two Fridays ago.”
This is not even concrete but this will make the news now all the way to PFT and espn.

I dont mind the question but the phrasing curran uses to ask him, "were we right snd you wrong" is so self serving for the media. Just ask the damn question - Did you mess up making matty p the OC ?

Jack has an entire offseason to decide how this goes. He does rehab like he's supposed to and everything is probably fine at training camp. He slacks off and he's in Bill's doghouse because Bill isn't letting a talented CB on a rookie deal go for peanuts.

When Patricia was first announced as play caller (or at least it was generally understood he would be play caller), I rationalized the decision because I trusted Bill. But even when I rationalized the choice of Judge and Patricia was not going to be a disaster and could work, I never once thought this move was best for the team. I still said I would have rather he got O-Brien or even Adam Gase or another proven OC.

I seriously don't know how he can say this was a move that was best for the team especially since the Pats had a second year QB and the Pats wanted to install a new offense.

All that is true. All i am talking about is hedging on what albert breer said. " i think he also talked back to bill" is not some concrete info.

But breer does this a lot.He is the one who floated the whole Bill O Brien rumor using his "connect the dots" philosophy of his contract ending with bama this yr. Unfortunately people take him as an actual source.

Yeah, I buy more into the agent's comments than anything else. That sounded like both sides would work it out.

Breer slings more **** against the wall hoping it sticks than LaCan'tknowa and Schefter.

My sentiments 100%.

I think highly of Bill.

I think highly of Fat Matt (as a DC)

I think Judge is a good coach (not HC but positional/ST)

I thought because of the collective football coaching acumen and Mac's intelligence it could at least be a functional unit.

...until it wasn't.

Man , good and luckly that McVay won the SB , that team is hosed for the next few yrs. Reminder what a new coach might bring. And it so wrong he doesnt want to be part of the rebuild now likely

Because when he uses that line “what is best for the team” he knows it will suppress and immediately stifle further discussion.
