If they do go with an 8th seed, what would that do to the patriots chances?

In addition to removing the #1 seed bye, adding an 8th team would also allow the Bills to forfeit this week (locking the Patriots into the #7 seed) without screwing over the other teams that need the Patriots to lose to get in.

(I have no idea if forfeiting is under consideration, but it’s a much more realistic option if it doesn’t immediately end the Dolphins and Steelers’ seasons.)

I have absolutely no idea how the Bills play the game this Sunday and the speculation around Buffalo is whether the Bills may forfeit.

The team isn’t practicing. They’re spending practice time having team meetings to work through trauma.

They should take all the time they need and just forfeit the win to Patriots, and gift us a playoff birth
