Official 2022 Tompa Bay Gronkaneers Thread

Found MAC10's PFT account. Probably has the same username from when he posted on there back in 2015, defending Brady from Deflategate. Then he developed Brady Derangement Syndrome once he left.
I was just going to post that. Lol. Exposed! What an obsessed idiot.

People actually read the comments at PFT?

Just watched the game on replay...wow Brady/Evans! that game was still a nail biter.

Seems like 99% of their first downs were runs up the middle for no gain. I hate runs up the middle.

NFC South champs and playoff bound...not a bad way to ring in the new year. Hear the postgame reaction from the team as @rachelwest__ takes you inside the Bucs locker room following the win

First time the Bucs have won the NFC South in consecutive seasons.

Also reported on TV: Brady's consecutive playoffs streak is 5 years longer than anyone else in history.

Tom Brady said the EXACT same thing to Chris Godwin two years ago when Godwin hit a rough patch. He told him, “I’m gonna keep going to you because I believe in you.” Godwin said it was life-changing for him at the time. And both players got through it. Awesome stuff.

So since 16 complete games have now been played I thought it worthwhile to check the stats and compare Brady this season against the 2013 and 2019 seasons. Frankly he has outright better stats this year. Looking at the QB Rating and completion % its much better. TDs and INTs are basically the same.

the original 16 game completion record was 471 by Brees in 2016 (Brady had 456 through 16 games in 2021 and ended with 485)

Brady has 477 in 16 games this season so he would have beaten that record even without the 17th game

Brady's numbers were down in 2006, 2013 & 2019 because of the trash Belichick gave him to work with.

Anyone being critical of Brady just needs to consider where the Bucs would be without his heroics. 4-12 is about right, maybe worse.

Brady's 2nd in the NFL in passing yards and only 390 yards short of another 5000 yard season, which if BA was still the HC, Brady would be chasing down in week 18.

He's 2nd in fourth quarter comebacks. He's worked his way into the top 10 in TDs. With a full game he'll set the single season record in attempts and completions.

He's doing all this along side the worst the running game in the NFL. With an offense that literally sacrifices 1st downs. And with an absolute moron for a head coach.

It really is amazing how many of us let doubts creep in in spite of Brady's accomplishments over the years.
Don't include me in there lol. I only gave him 10% of the blame. The others Evans at 10% and OL at 30 % balled out.

I gave the coaches 50% of the blame and they still were pretty bad. With 432 passing yards, they should have scored 40 points. Still too many waisted 1st down runs. Going for a 53 yard field goal when Succops range is only 50 was another waist, should have just gone for it.

Todd Bowles arrived in 2019. he probably needed a year to acclimate before he turned the team around
Right, in the wrong direction. Dummy Bowles is 100% behind these first down runs into a mass of anticipating defenders. It's maddening.

Look, it's way too obvious at this point, the offense is going to move the ball and score on the arm of Brady. That's it. It's the end of season, maybe the end of Brady's career, there's no point in holding anything back now, just AIR IT OUT!

No quarterback is perfect, and there's so much usually riding on their play each game, that 10% blame for the bad is probably a baseline for any quarterback.

Anyone blaming Brady for the team's overall subpar season just has not been paying attention. He's as valuable to the Bucs as any quarterback in the league is to their team. And no other quarterback has a worse head coach. Well maybe Jeff Saturday is worse than Dummy Bowles but Saturday isn't a real coach and Indy doesn't have a real quarterback either.

That would be absolutely the worse coaching decision ever. If defenses think you're going to throw the ball 90% of the time, Brady will get sacked 10 times.

If Bowles is smart, he'll play to win against Atlanta to gain momentum for the playoffs and keep moral high. The starters should be in for at least half the game. BB would probably play them into the 3rd quarter.

Brady has a chance to get the 5000 yard milestone and stay behind Mahomes in passing yards.

Evans was great but he still dropped an easy 43 yard pass. They need to work to maintain that chemistry.

Godwin is close to 1000 yards and is chasing the Bucs reception records.
