NFL GAME DAY DISCUSSION Week 16 Other Games

But you keep embarrassing yourself by harping on some meaningless week 6 game.

Every game is important. If Brady played well vs GB, Baltimore, Pitt, and Cleveland, he'd be 11-4 now and most likely be looking at a 13-4 season.

If Joe Montana had better than a career 92.3 playoff rating, he might have made it to more than just 4 SB's.

Ah, but he does, my English major friend (who apparently isn't good with numbers). And he did it in a much more difficult era for QBs.

Career Playoff Passer Rating:

Montana - 96

Brady - 90.4

I looked at PFF which has Montana at 92.3 and Brady at 97.0.

But please don't bother refuting. I don't really care. Just sending out the bat signal to see if you'd respond.

The only math I really care about is 7>4. If you are pretending to be a Patriots fan, then go with 6>4.

I've seen some sites where they have them in the top 10.
If you've watched any Patriot games this year, you can clearly see that this is not a top 25 O-line, forget about a top 10 line.

Pro Football Reference support my numbers.

Here's another inequality for you: 0 > 3. Let's see if you can figure this one out.

0 would be the number of time you have gotten laid.

3 would be the number of times you have fantasized hog tying Mahomes to your bed and making him dress up as Little Bo Peep?

Brady is looking like 2019 this year. He looked like he was on his way to being done that year because his play definitely dipped well below his standards. That was him just being pissed off and feeling sorry for himself and unable to lift the talent around him. So this year could be the same thing with a change of scenery next year making him rebound. But at age 45, you gotta wonder if he is just hitting the age wall.

I just hope he doesn't pull a Marino and play a year or two longer than he should and tarnish his legacy a bit with embarrassingly bad play. I just hope he has enough self awareness to know when to call it quits. If he does, I think there is at least a decent chance he hangs it up after this season.

What a bad take.
There's nothing that can tarnish his legacy anymore unless he gets busted for PEDs

So are we all *gulp*

Cheering for a Colts win tonight??

Can't do it. Do we think the Chargers could upset the Chiefs or Bills in the playoffs? It's possible.

Go Chargers.

I'm not sure if you watch every Pat game, but our line has been bottom 3 bad this year. All you need to know is Brown leads the league in penalties, Wynn is gone and when he was in there was horrible, Ferentz is a jag, McDermott is a jag. Tampa's is worse than this? Wirrfs is an all pro tackle.
The Bucs D.Smith leads the league in penalties., but he's injured now . They're on their 3rd string tackle and he's worse than Smith. The Pats o-line would be an upgrade to what the Bucs have. they're all injured including Wirfs was out for the last month. they cant pass block or run block and have the worst running game in the league. brady barely has time to dink and dunk let alone throw down field. The Pats have o-line issues for sure but trust me we wouldn't all the back ups the Bucs are left with

I didn't mean tarnish like it would ruin his legacy. I probably should have used a different word. I meant it would tarnish it a bit, not major. I guess not knowing the best way to say it, just leave a bad taste in your mouth at the end of his career. I don't mean it would erase all the accomplishments he did for his career and people only remembering him being a shell of himself on his third team.

It was a bad look for Marino and it was a bad finish to an impressive career. It would have been the same with Manning if he didn't have a team that carried him to a Super Bowl win in his final year. I mean if Brady is playing for say San Fran, Miami, or one of the NY teams and only completing 55% of his passes and had 15-20 INTs and 15-20 TDs, it would be a bit of an embarrassing end to the career of the GOAT.

Marpet's retirement, combined with Jensen's injury, changed that line from what would have been a top 5 OL to one that's a bottom 5 OL. You combine that with the injuries and/or spotty play at WR and TE, and you have the:

Bucs
Patriots
Rams
Colts
Packers
Raiders

and it's no surprise that all of those teams have struggled, regardless of other strengths (i.e. Patriots RB situation) and weaknesses (i.e. Carr killing his team game after game with mind-numbing play at key times).

If you've watched any Patriot games this year, you can clearly see that this is not a top 25 O-line, forget about a top 10 line.
So you're basing this on the eye test? How many other teams have you watched aside from Pats opponents? Do you think the Jets OL is better? How about the Rams? Or Colts, Chargers, Texans, Bengals, Cardinals, Seahawks, Raiders, Vikings, etc.?

No one cares about what Marino did on one leg at the end of his career. He never won a Super Bowl. There's nothing worse than that.

Depends who you ask - are we taking into account spygate? Brady's only 4-3 in super bowls outside the spygate era.

Zach Wilson inactive next week...
