No the Jets since before the dawn of time

"If the Big Bang is the start of the universe, what preceded the Big Bang?"
"The dark void that is the NY Jets QB position."

The Colts defense will have be lights out for them to have any chance in this game. I thought the Bears would be a layup too but at least Fields has some raw talent. And the Bears defense was ok before they traded their two best defenders. Statistically the Colts defense is pretty good but they'll need to be great in this one because that Ehlinger offense isn't doing anything.

Matt Ryan caused 12 of their 16 giveaways, and the main reason he got benched. Taylor has 2 fumbles. So those 2 accounted for 88% of their giveaways. Addition by subtraction. All this kid has to do is not give the ball away and their D keep it low scoring and it's anybody's game.

Team with most TOs loses this one. Pats have the upper hand there, except w/o Ryan & Taylor (he only had 1 TD) it's a different Colts team. Pats still have their own TO leader (Sunshine) in there. Looks like a FG battle galore.

Matt Ryan is washed up but like Flacco he probably still can have an explosive game here and there. Is Ryan still dressing?... he might end up back on the field in this one. They probably should dust off Foles and put him out there. Their running game has been terrible with or without Taylor. I'm with you on the FGs but Stevenson should be able to have a nice game and hopefully find the end zone. The Jaguars put up 250 rushing yards on the Colts defense two weeks ago.

I'm not sure our OL is going to open up a lot of holes this week.
They didn't open up a lot last week, but Stevenson still had an excellent game.
The loss of CANNON is big, though. Wynn will need to step it up.

hmmm. So the Pats D and Colts O will have no involvement in this game? Got it.

FYI Colts D is only allowing 0.8 ppg less than the Pats D

From Mike Reiss today

The Patriots and Colts are tied for the NFL lead with 16 turnovers apiece, but the difference is that the Patriots have an even turnover differential because they've created 16 (tied for most in NFL). The Colts have a minus-8 turnover differential, which ranks them 31st out of 32 teams in the NFL and makes them vulnerable to New England.

Just interesting that you are doom and glooming over the Pats O vs the Colts D. When that's a closer matchup than the Pats D vs Colts O who just traded their best receiving RB and their #1 RB is hobbled and hasn't practiced all week.
Good example of picking and choosing stats. Using the more conventional stat of ypg, the Colts’ O is 18th and we are 20th. Why is there such a difference? - bc Ryan was a turnover machine. You leave a lot of points unscored when you’re among the league leaders in turnovers. On the positive side, I don’t think they’ll be able to move the ball well against our D with a rookie (ish) QB, even if he doesn’t make the stupid mistakes of his predecessor.

Nice read here about the Colts Rookie QB: "Ehlinger challenged all three levels of the field, made several full-field reads, and worked his progressions to find open receivers. " Sure wish our Starting QB can do that.

The Colts' D, unfortunately, might be lights out by subtraction (from the Pats)

Shudder.

But goldarnit right now I am hoping for a monster game from Mac and I have no reason to believe it's not happening until Sunday.

I think there's sarcasm in his post.

Its true.

Wynn has been an overated Bum since day 1. Georgia has been screwing the Patriots lately. Wynn was the worst Pats OL last season.

Missing two starting offensive lineman probably hurts more than the loss of Parker or Harris.
Parker missing a game is no surprise. We all knew of his injury prone history. Hopefully he recovers from this new knee injury. What's dissapointing is his contributions for a dude that's played 85% of the O snaps the 1st 7 games: 15/27 for 321 yds, 1 TD (2 INT when he was targeted). He only played 1% in his last game when he got injured. Now he's out. This guy was supposed to be a difference maker. Just another underwhelming FA skill player. Fortunately, he wasn't expensive, so there's that.
