OT: New York Approves Location of New Bills Stadium

This is deranged in the extreme. You're counting people walking from their homes in Orchard Park.

Here's the overview: Highmark Stadium · 1 Bills Dr, Orchard Park, NY 14127

How many homes do you see?

I mean, I said yeah, OK, a couple hundred walk from their homes. I allowed that.

In the scheme of things, it's meaningless and preposterous

In fact, Orchard Park is very like Foxboro.

You Foxboro people will have to tell me how many fans the Patriots get when Foxboro people walk from their homes. I'm sure they do walk, but not that many to make this anything but meaningless.

Just so I understand your logic…

No one parks in the Bills 15,000 space lot that is sold out by 10:30am on gamedays because they all park in the thousands of homes in the area…

But those same homes have only 100 people going to the game.

Uh huh.

Do you realize how ignorant you sound? Or are you generally not aware?

I didn't say any of that.

Where do you come up with this stuff?

Are you on here just to make stuff up? I said the exact opposite.

You said people don’t park in the stadium lots, they park on peoples lawns at $10 a pop

Sigh man, I go to 4 or 5 games a year and sit at the 5 yard line 10 rows up behind the Bills bench.

It's $22, because 80% of the ticket holders are season ticket people. Everyone else parks off site for $10.

Everyone is well aware the Bills concourses are teeny so the vast majority of people don't bother. It's a zoo.

You don't know what you are talking about

Ad here's one good clue that you're entirely clueless: that company 716 that is making the food in the video you posted??! They went out of business!!! They don't even exist anymore. Such a success from all the drunken Bills fan buying up that Buffalo Mac&Cheese!!!
Ok Yogi, no one buys concessions because it’s too crowded.
Dig yourself deeper.

Tax revenue is a net nothing. Plenty of studies have proven this. I mean, the revenue comes from local sources any way you cut it.

The only viable argument for this sort of thing is the state income tax, but according to the article above the cost of the stadium will dwarf the income received from state taxes. So, the question is, how much money do you want to lose to enrich a guy who is worth $7billion+?

BTW--your estimate of costs for a Bills game is way over. It's about $75 a game for seasons in the 2nd tier. Parking is on peoples lawns on $10 a pop shared by 4 people in a car. Food is what you bring to the game. Not much of this other than the $75 game ticket is going to generate local tax. The only extra comes from the 15% of the season ticket base that lives in Ontario. You generate income that way.

I'm the one digging myself deeper not the person posting videos of the great concessions from concessionaires that couldn't make a go of it and don't even exist anymore.

You said it here.
I included the stadium parking lot.

& it's even less than what's in that post because we already established there are 4-5 people in the car, so whether it's $10 or $22, you divide both by the number of people in the car to get the averaged paid.

Stop inflating what people actually pay.

No you did not. You said “parking is $10 on peoples lawns”
Parking is a small piece of what they spend, which I never said otherwise, it’s tickets, parking, food, beverages, hats, shirts, jerseys and other gear.
You think the average fan spends $75 for tickets that average 100 and no spends a nickel inside the stadium.

How did we “establish” how many people are in a car?

It doesnt really matter who runs the concessions, there clearly are many and people are spending a lot of money just like every other stadium. I guess you think buffalo
Wild wings and Tim Hortons just are there for fun since no one buys food.
Funny how I see all kinds of bills gear in the stands but no one in Buffalo buys it.

You're wrong abut the parking.

Let's say the Bills lot is filled. 15,000 cars. How many cars on lawns? You have 72k in the stadium, if they came in 20k cars, that means they didn't pay the money you said they did. Do the math. If 72k come in 20k cars, that's not $20-30 a person or whatever you said.

People in this town eat wings and Tim Hortons if the wind blows. Meaningless.

The fact that you linked to a concessionaire that went bust says it all.

How did we “establish” how many people are in a car?
You friend the cow said the majority park in the lot.

That's how.

They have to get there somehow, right?

If they don't come packed in cars, then they're parked in $10 offsite spaces, because the lot has 15k capacity.

And let's face it, the lot really isn't holding 15k cars anyway even if that's capacity, because Bills fans don't know how to park, they put giant tables next to their cars, they put trash barrels in the middle of roadways and light them on fire, and Guy Fieri always takes like 10 spots for himself and his trailer. The whole place looks like a Mad Max shoot.

I quoted your words. How can I be wrong?
I never put a number on how much parking was. You are arguing with yourself, and remarkably, losing.

Clearly they eat it at the stadium, so you are wrong that they don’t buy food there. Those are SOME of the concessions. Obviously they find it profitable and the other concessioners that sell there are too.
The fact that the concessionaire changed is irrelevant. You are now dienbto arguing in Buffalo no one eats food, and a food service business that has 10 dates at a football game has its success or failure 100% determined by those 10 days.
It’s like someone gave you a terrible position to argue, you did no research, and just make up stuff because you won’t admit you were wrong.

He’s not “my friend” he’s just the other person reading your foolish position.
A poster making a statement doesn’t “establish” anything, especially when your argument has been everyone oarks on peoples lawns.

Lol, not these Bills fans don’t eat, or drink, are ignoramuses (or whatever it was you called them earlier) and don’t know how to park. To support your argument you have to
Bills fans are different than people everywhere else in the world.
Of course an idiot would realize the capacity of the lot takes these factors into account. Or are parking attendants different in Buffalo than anywhere else and just let in more people than the lot will hold?

Why do you live in Buffalo if you think every one there is a moronic Neanderthal?
