Might see Julio tomorrow
Vea is overpaid and meh without a strong defensive partner.
Hicks is not an upgrade on Suh.
JTS was unproven and still is, so they should have brought back JPP.
Barrett is overpaid. He probably only performs well when he plays with a stronger defensive line.
They should have spent their money on the offensive line once Jenson went down.
Bucs have now ruled out defensive lineman Akiem Hicks for tonight’s game vs. Ravens. He misses a sixth straight game with his foot injury.
With Hicks and Jones, they came in with injury flags, and they've each played in only two of the first seven games. Bucs just have to hope they can get healthy for second half of season and playoffs, if they can get in.
Bucs have until 4 to set their roster for tonight's game, but the lack of any move for WR depth speaks well of Julio Jones giving it a go and playing tonight. He's been limited to parts of two games with his knee injury.
Would be nice,.. the playing together part. Finally a Evans/Godwin/Jones set...I'm pretty sure one will get injured tonight lol
The good news is they haven't lost a key player to a season ender besides Jensen(who may be back)The Bucs really need to get healthy, otherwise just getting into the playoff might be in danger.
Never mind the SB if the Bucs aren't healthy. As I recall, of Brady's 10 SB appearance, virtually all if not all were with a healthy team. Of Brady's 11 seasons without a SB appearance, I remember most of those teams dealing with key injuries throughout the season. This pattern has played out so far in Tampa.
I thought the Pats were gonna beat da Bears last week too. The Pats had some key players out last week and may still have them out for Sunday. The Breece Hall injury is going to ruin their offense. And Zach Wilson still sucks. Patriots should beat them this weekend.
The scheme didn't work so well when Big Vince knocked the Jet lineman into the hole causing the butt fumble.Vea is a dominant force but, just as was the case with Wilfork, his position means that he can be schemed around.
Patriots haven't lost to the Jets since 2015. Belichick's dinking around with the quarterbacks set the team up for failure against the Bears. He also didn't consider his son's defense getting blasted by Fields & Co. And the special teams got beat on literally every single play. Absolutely everything went wrong for the Patriots. Usually against the Jets they are the ones with a calamity of errors. The way to beat the Jets is to force the game into the hands of Wilson... teams haven't been able to do that with Hall running wild. The Patriots should be able to contain what's left of their running game and then sit back while Wilson makes a mess of himself.I thought the Pats were gonna beat da Bears last week too. I have to see the Jets' running game without Hall before I can say for sure that they're ruined. It isn't all on him.
Right now my biggest concern is seeing the good ship Patriot repaired before it sinks.
27 points? wow. Hopefully you are right.Bucs 27
Ravens 23
Team's desperate for a win, you can hear it in the press conferences. Seems like they're dusting off Julio for this one. I expect Brady to take more chances tonight, probably losses his streak without an INT but gets the ball in the end zone a few times (Evans, Godwin is due, maybe one of the rookie TEs). 27 shouldn't seem like a big number for a Brady-led offense but I see where you're coming from.27 points? wow. Ya if he's willing to take some hits they can make more plays. He's not willing at all and I wonder if there's a standoff with the OC. Jones helps but I still don't see how they move the chains. They need to get the lead and force Lamar to make mistakes.Team's desperate for a win, you can hear it in the press conferences. Seems like they're dusting off Julio for this one.
