Also saw Cam Brate going through walkthroughs today, a small first step to him returning from a sprained neck.
Still didn’t see a few Bucs at practice today: Sean Murphy-Bunting, Antoine Winfield, Luke Goedeke.
The difference for those teams is that the Packers are already trailing the Vikings by 3 games in the NFCN while the Bucs are in first place in the NFCS.Yeah that Packers/Bucs tie breaker isn’t gonna matter for either team lol.
BB just had his team get blown out at home by a team that's as bad as or worse than Carolina.Tom could use Belichick right now. Bowles and Leftwich are incompetent. How do you lose by multiple TD to a team that just fired its coach, traded its best players and is actively trying to tank?
Bucs had Akiem Hicks practicing again today, which is encouraging if not necessarily good for Thursday. Still no Davis, Murphy-Bunting, Goedeke, Brate.
Buccaneers linebacker K.J. Britt was knocked out of last Sunday’s loss to the Panthers with an ankle injury that will keep him out for an extended period of time.
The Bucs announced that Britt has been placed on injured reserve. He will miss at least four games as a result of being placed on the list.
With the Bucs and Ravens playing on Thursday night, Pierre-Paul noted there’s a little extra motivation for him in playing his old team.
“There’s no bad blood,” Pierre-Paul said, via Jamison Hensley of ESPN, “but I want to show them what they don’t have.”
The Texans cut receiver Tyler Johnson to make the signing of receiver Tyron Johnson official.
Tyler Johnson spent seven weeks with the Texans, was active for two games and played 29 snaps with no targets.
The Texans claimed him off waivers from the Bucs on Aug. 31.
The way the season is going I wouldn't be surprised to see JPP go off
Omg, the injuries on defense are piling up just when it seems like the offense is starting to get healthier.
With all the defensive injuries piling up, I wouldn't be surprised if Baltimore scores 30.Bucs are in a tough spot now. Having let two creampuffs beat them in back to back weeks. Now they have three decent opponents in a row. Starting with Lamar Jackson. I would label this a must win with the Rams rolling into town next week... not exactly the team you want to face having lost 5 of 6. I still believe the Bucs win their division but not as convincingly as previously thought. Looking at their remaining schedule, I have them going 7-3 with an overall record of 10-7 (which is 3 fewer wins than I originally predicted). 10-7 wins the division and lands them as the 4 seed with a probably wild card opponent from the NFC East.
The defense other than the Chiefs game has done their job. They're pressing when the offense doesn't score late in the game thus the breakdowns and big plays by the other teams. They're only allowing 17 PPG. That should be enough with all the talent on offense, but the offense just straight up sucks right nowWith all the defensive injuries piling up, I wouldn't be surprised if Baltimore scores 30.
Can the Bucs score 30 too? Well they move the ball well enough between the 20s but keep on shooting themselves on 3rd down and red zone.
Bucs just lost to 2 of the worst team in the league. I can't seem them doing any better than 6-4 the rest of the way. If they do that, that's a relief as it should be enough for a playoff spot.
The defense other than the Chiefs game has done their job.
Here’s today’s injury report for Bucs and Ravens, with progress for several Tampa Bay players. Rashod Bateman worth watching for Baltimore:
