OT: Christian McCaffery deal to San Fran

Lance will have Deebo, Kittle and McCaffrey around him next year. If he can’t produce with that in year 3 then he’s a huge bust.

And if he's a bust, shanahan and lynch are stuck with a team ready to go with no QB. He might end up being good. But you have to wonder by the time they find out what he can be is the team too old. They have a window that is closing.

Isn't this the perfect situation for TB to finish his career?

They can even add Gronk and a few others.

Might even do it on the cheap if the divorce works out.

I actually saw a few tweets about that.....I could see it happening. the lebron route. Now that the bill has come due in Tampa and their talent has eroded Brady can go to a loaded and ready San Fran team for one last ride to end his career. Lance can sit and learn.

I can't see him going out this way if the bucs continue to look like they do.

As much as people ***** about the Lance trade and it was bad. I said as much then (I had a 2nd on Lance, Wilson and Mac) The 49ers have ignored more important positions like OL to spend on RB like normies after getting a stimmy.

Two 4ths to get Sermon. 3rd for Tyrion Davis-Price. 6th for Elijah Mitchell. 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th for Caff. Who I love but not when your IOL has been playing so poorly. I believe they might still be paying McKinnon from a few years ago lol. Not the best allocation of resources when you're all-in trying to win a SB. Think about what a 2nd, two 3rd's, three 4th's, 5th and 5th would have got you (its a top 15 pick). So again not the best use of draft picks or capital.

Their window is now, I get that. They're not a team looking to build for the long-term rn. So I get the urgency but their skating on thin ice. I would definitely be calling Carolina to inquire about Brown and Burns, maybe another player. Both have been very good to great. Their skill sets would be much welcomed even though it's a long shot.

It seems like an imitation of division rival Rams. Either that or both know that California is going to fall into the ocean before the inevitable demise.
