They have a championship caliber defense and the only weakness on offense is the QB now. McCaffrey should take pressure off of Garoppolo.Good to have him signed through 2025 given what they gave up. Obvious question is, how many games will he miss in the meantime? Interesting “all-in” moves seeing it isn’t clear who their QB is in 2023. NFC does look wide open and weak at the top this year though.

You have to think that they are trying to protect the investment they made in Trey Lance ... They gave up a lot to get him and the returns have been a red shirt rookie season and one complete game in year 2 vs Chicago where he didn't do so well...Part of me wonders if this is them going “all in” this year, or if it’s more about having a great back to take pressure off of Lance the next several years.
