Kraft and [JERRUH] Jones get into heated exchange

Snyder should be the story here but Krafty Bob couldn't care less. He is more worried about Goodell's paycheck???!!! Wow just wow.

It's all part of the smoke and mirrors. Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain, look at the smoke and colors. Besides, we aren't the intended audience anyway. The signaling was for the benefit of the current congressional inquiry.

Meanwhile RKK is simply trying to keep the machine well oiled

He made that comment 10 years ago and there is zero evidence that it is ever going to come to fruition. The NFL is as popular as ever and is making more money than ever.

For all the criticism in this thread of things the NFL does, we all keep watching. And they know it.
There will come a tipping point. In 20 years when they're playing 20 games and fans are watching a bunch of 3rd and 4th stringers battle it out in week 19 of the regular season and half the high schools in the country don't even have a full contact football team the popularity will wane. The league at this point is damned if they do and damned if they don't with concussions. Fans are already pissed off at the roughing the passer calls and removing the big hits but at the same time the league is taking a beating over head injuries. Concussions are a necessary reckoning for the NFL but it is all the other things that will bring it down at some point. The rule changes, relocation to bigger markets, the multiple streaming/cable platforms you need to watch a game, the cost of tickets, parking, jerseys, etc. In the end of the day it will be the greed that really puts the nail in the coffin.

There will come a tipping point.
People have been saying that for about 25 years now. And yet the sport continues to get bigger and bigger.

When Goody took over in 2006 the NFL did $6.5B. In 2021 revenues were $11B. Thats a 69% increase.

In 2006 MLB was $5.1B. In 2021 it finished the year at $9.6B. Thats and 88% increase.

NBA was $3.4B in 2006. 2021 was $10B. Thats a 294% increase.

2006 NHL was $2.4B. 2021 was $5.2B, a 216% increase.

If we want to compare how successful Goody was at growing the business for the owners to the other dominant pro sports teams....he finished last.

Jones has a point.
Honestly I always look to see what my nieces and nephews and kids their age are really into and for a while now it has been the NBA. The NBA has always been a star driven league and it is much easier for them since their stars are not wearing helmets and facemasks. The NBA culture has a trickle down effect from everywhere in the inner-city to suburban kids. The main NBA video game is a vastly superior product to Madden, all the stars have their own sneakers for kids to buy, each team has 33 different variations of jerseys every year that they do a great job marketing to different parts of each fanbase, and it is far safer and cheaper to play basketball. Combine all that with the fact that the NBA has exploded in popularity across the globe I think it is a short time before it overtakes football as king in the US.

I don't know if its because he has skills, or whether it's a happy accident of being at the right place at the right time.
It's no accident.

He consistently cuts any and every cost which involves rudimentary human decency toward employees or people in general; and only $pends on necessary priorities like $millions to get Brady's witch hunt suspension reinstated by the upper court ["CBA specifically allows for the Commissioner to fabricate whatever he wants to inflict damages of any kind including docked pay to any player for any reason (skin color, political leaning, team he plays for, etc.)"]

Bob Kraft does not change his mind

Goodell=Awesome guy who enabled Gillette to be built {because Tags sent him here, and he knew it would help him succeed Paul someday}

Flying elvis=established (10 months?), necessary, good, attractive, respectful logo

NFL Owners=a great bunch of guys who should not be drawn and quartered

Drew Bledsoe=worthy of all the accolades and worship {which was actually earned by Steve Grogan}

Jones wants Goodell gone while Kraft sticking up for his bestie/wedding guest Gooddell.

Yikes

If you think he wants him gone that you are completely naive. Old GloryHole Jerruh was just in a bad mood from the Eagles beating his team, this was him making his little stink because he thinks the refs screwed them.

Kraft wants Goodell and Jones don't.

Sorry Patsfans, I would like to see Jerry win this fight.
Never understood, why Kraft supports Goodell after how he treated the Patriots.

Yep.

Goofy Goody is smoking crack if he thinks the NFL will be $25b in 2027. It doesn't have the global reach the NBA does

I guess the fans care about winning and draft picks. Owners care about power, money and then about winning/draft picks.

Still haven’t forgiven Kraft for his cowardly bend the knee during 2016 deflategate. No loyalty.

Other than that, he’s a good owner. Jerry hasn’t been relevant since Clinton was in office. Take a hike scumbag

Couldnt define a wimp better

Add him folding like I do when I get 2 and 7 off suit in a poker game, there, full on wimp
Definitely a wimp. Felt bad for Brady in 2016 when he expected Kraft to defend him. He looked at Kraft as a father figure

That’s life. The days of loyalty and friends having your back are over. Those traits aren’t taught by parents anymore.

Regardless of whether Jerry or Kraft "wins" this debate, could we all just step aside a moment and agree that Jerry Jones' membership in the Hall of Fame is an absolute outrage? Which NFL owner meddles the most with his team? Publicly puts pressure on his players to return early from injuries (cf. Dak '22)? Goes 26 years and counting without a win in the Divisional round of the playoffs? (and only 3 Wildcard wins!) Some Hall of Famer.

Two rich B***ches in disagreement on whether to serve Caviar or Wagyu Beef

Every single one of those choices, except #3 = more ad space/pricing leverage = more ad revenue.

I'm really wondering what's gonna go on after the Sunday Ticket contract ends. What might seem to be a favorable move all around to move away from its sole-DirecTV access, I'm imagining an already weird split where I have to at least buy Amazon Prime for Thursday night, then AppleWhatever for Sunday, and with how negotiations are going, it seems like Apple wants more rights in how they repackage the deal - with language pointing towards "free reign to offer games globally or in local market" - which I imagine would be used for worse and not better. Right now, you get the whole damn thing through the purchase, you get everything.

I can imagine Apple breaking it down into different streaming packages based on region and it invariably becomes more expensive to have "the whole damn thing."

Hulu Live TV Bundle allows you to watch all the major networks that air NFL (CBS, NBC, Fox, ESPN, NFL Network), and then I watch Thursday Night Football from our Amazon Prime subscription which we already had anyways

Granted, it doesnt let you watch any game you want like NFL Sunday Ticket, but one of the main things that was holding me back from cutting the cord during football season was watching all the Pats games, and Hulu Live TV + Prime gives me 100% coverage of Pats games

Hulu Live can be canceled at any time, so as soon as the season ends im canceling and just paying for the Hulu/Disney bundle (which unfortunately includes ESPN, but what can you do)

I'm saving over $150 a month after cutting from comcast, only paying for 1GB internet now

Update:
I should note that a lot of these services are sons of b****es and don't make it clear that what they're offering only works on the phone app version. However basically all of the apps allow you to Cast/Airplay from your phone to a TV that supports it (if your TV can't support it, you can buy a Chromecast for like $20 that plugs into the HDMI port on your TV), so thats how I get around all of that is I just Cast from my phone (iPhone 7+) to my 75" 4k UHD TV and it works great (you need good internet/wifi for this)

NFL phone app does NOT allow casting/airplay, I subscribed to their "NFL+" service because it was advertised as being able to watch any of the NFL games live, which it does.... on your phone only lol. They disabled the cast/airplay functionality in the app so you cant use your TV or another viewing device, the only phone app that does this, btw... greedy NFL, thats why they love their boy Goodell, they want to force you over to the other major networks for viewing... or if you cant be at a TV watching thru their major networks, then they'll allow you to watch it on your tiny phone... better to have you watch it on demand on your phone than not at all, but dont you dare try to pay for a service to watch the games and then try to use common 2022 technology to cast it to a larger viewing surface! YOU BETTER PAY WITH YOUR LIFE FOR THAT FEATURE!

Don't want 17 games.
Don't want Thursday night football.
Don't want QBs wearing red shirts and flags.
Don't want the defenses at a disadvantage.
Don't want watered down playoffs.
Don't want 3 nights of draft.

I am sure I could add more.

I actually like the 3-day draft.

I am in Complete agreement with All of your other points.
