I somehow think the packers are idiots and will somehow believe that they will think Mac could start so they will have to slightly adjust their gameplan of one QB to another....in other words, he is blowing smoke and nobody on earth is buying it.

He isnt giving information away, I am sure GB has a tv.If you have a philosophy of not giving away information without there being a specific reason for it, it makes no sense to pick and choose when you apply that philosophy. I doubt he thinks the Packers are expecting to see Jones this week. But why would he go out of his way to say that when that's never been how he's operated? In other words, it's not about an advantage to being vague, but about there being no advantage to the deliberate choice to change now.

No I get the point, but its not like we did not all see him get injured. Its not some thing that happened in practice with the cameras off. Do you really think GB is sitting there saying, oh man Mac might start, we have to prepareAgain, that's not the point. Belichick operates in manner A. You seem to be asking him to operate in manner B. The issue isn't that he'd be giving up an advantage by not doing A anymore, but that what is the advantage of suddenly doing B? It's just different for different's sake.

Not what he said. Grow up.So now we're comparing him to Hitler? That's where we are now?

I understand what you are saying, but I also understand that its not a good look. To me anyway.Let me try again. The point is not about the information itself. The point is about the philosophy of, "We don't openly talk about injuries." Why would he pick and choose which situations to apply that philosophy to? It does not matter one bit whether the information is obvious. What Green Bay sees is 100% irrelevant.

I mean Im not saying you have to have xrays with you and go over if he has herpes or not, but I dont get the reason of lying just to lie when everyone knows it unless you are just trying to be a jerk. I am all for a reason to do things, but I see no reason.Fair enough.
Yeah, I mean if his strategy is not to talk about injuries, then why would he tell us Macs getting better? Surely if anything thats the one thing he shouldn't be telling peopleNo I get the point, but its not like we did not all see him get injured. Great strategy against a team with an ok run game, shotty pass protection an inexperienced OC, communication issues and a back up QB...not.
