Maybe they did and still preferred this for any number of reasons (more similar footing to the stadium grass, they liked the location better, etc).Makes you wonder why they couldn't find an actual football field?
16 days to flatten the acclimatization...or something like that.Probably the latter. You can get acclimated to altitude more quickly than the heat and humidity down here.
Plot? Characterization? No way man - just pure, unadulterated Michael Bay military and explosion porn. When I was 16 or 17, my friends and I took a ride down to Delray Beach to try to see them blow up that mansion from Bad Boys II. Couldn’t get anywhere near it, but we could kind of see if from a distance and the entire area rumbled.
That and “The Rock” are the only two movies of his that I’ve really liked. “Armageddon” lost me when Bruce Willis discharged shotgun rounds at Ben Affleck in a heavily crowded area for sleeping with his daughter. Think that was the first 5 minutes of the movie.Plot? Characterization? No way man - just pure, unadulterated Michael Bay military and explosion porn.
And we all secretly love every bit of it.
Injury report:
As much as I riff on him and his movies for their one-note over the top style, 13 Hours remains my favorite because it maintains that while actually telling a story worth following. That and “The Rock” are the only two movies of his that I’ve really liked.
Not optimistic about playing on the road at Miami. History has not been kind to the Patriots for those games.
Game 1 is huge as it will greatly influence our odds of how we make it through this tough 4 game opening stretch.
It's been really bad. They are ruining football Christmas where everyone is supposed to be excited for the season to start. Instead it's dumping on the team all the timeI don't know about anyone else, but I cannot wait for this game to start. I haven't been able to listen to any sports talk radio or any podcast for the last few months because they all are just piling on bashing Belichick and the coaching staff about everything. I could get it if this team was 0-3 or something like this, but the media and a lot of the fan base have been killing Belichick for failing before he has had a chance to fail.
I just want the games to start to either shut up the critics or at least give them something real to complain about. But this was the worst preseason I can remember for the Patriots and I am not just talking the play on the field or in practice.
Yeah but it pays well ... I listen at times and laugh at the energy they put into hating to pay their bills. It's been really bad. They are ruining football Christmas where everyone is supposed to be excited for the season to start. Instead it's dumping on the team all the time
