NFL 2022 Cuts Tracker

It happens. The Colts gave Hoyer a ridiculous contract a few years back.

Most of these cuts will be teams stashing veterans.

Few players will get contracts they can't refuse, and the rest will sit on the team's practice squad.
What about non quarterbacks though? We're talking about a tight end whose best season was less than 600 yards and hasn't broken 150 yards since 2019.

None I can think of which is why I think players like T. Mitchell, Bethel, Cody Davis, Henry Anderson, and even J. Cardona, who don't need to clear waivers, will start on the practice squad, and be called up.

The Bills guarantee to OJ Howard was similar to those.

Never thought about Cardona as a possible one of those guys, but I could see it.

It’s probably good that the Pats took Stevenson instead of Shelvin (taken two picks later). The Barmore vs Shelvin complaints were even worse.

Wow, I guess there is some background info somewhere ?

He might be a better fit for a 3-4 type config.

Perhaps. According to Bengal boards he was trash. None of them seem upset about it. Pretty disappointing.

Interesting ranking by Reiss, I don't agree with it, I'd have Ray higher, but he is usually spot on.

I think what holds Ray back right now is he could only be used on obvious passing downs, whereas Schooler is a core ST, Russey could go wire to wire if Andrews got hurt, and Mitchell plays both ST and defense (at a thinner position than Ray).

Not surprised. He has zero pass rush ability and isn't very quick. That was the scouting report on him and the Bengals still drafted him.
I thought we’d have a chance at him much later, stash him and teach him to be a bull against the run. Washington and Wilforks don’t grow on trees I suppose.

Who is this Russell person Reiss thinks may make the roster ahead of L. Ray? Does he mean Russey? I know D. Mitchell has looked good so I could see him and Ray being a coin flip but I really like Ray and all of his injury concerns.
