OT: Arians steps down as Tampa HC

Agree if I see one more mention of BB by this poster (one trick pony), he will not be posting anymore. Last warning.
That's bullsh*t. More than one poster is talking about Belichick in this thread because it is a natural extension of the thread's subject matter.

Crawhammer is absolutely right: If Brady goes deep into the playoffs - or actually wins a Super Bowl - with yet another HC, while NE stumbles to 10-8 again, it will be a HUGE slap to Belichick's legacy.

Last year was 2021 not 2020, read what was written. Last year they lost in the playoffs with the same team as the year prior.

Only a real Brady honk would try to dismiss what was clearly a power play in Tampa.
Repeatedly calling someone a Brady honk is acceptable I guess.

The 2011 SB vs the Giants was when I thought that they went too pass-happy.
Agreed, and not surprisingly when Brady was the highest paid player in the league at that time.

The Giants and Tom Coughlin beat us twice by using the same offense and philosophy that was successful for us 6 other times. They won the time of possession and turnover battle... we didn't lose as much as we ran out of time.

If Jules wants to come back he can come back to the NEP... there's room for him on the roster.
Julian yearns for only 1 man and it ain't Mac.

Jason Licht was the architect of that single Buc's championship, he built the superteam and brought Tom onboard.

Who was the GM of those 6 Patriot rings?

BB's place in history is secure, he doesn't need validation.

I'm sorry to disagree with you here. That poster is a one trick pony and this is about him and him only. You don't see me bringing up another poster mentioning BB...it's all about the poster and his history of only posting one thing and not adding anything to this forum.

5 starters, 13 rostered versus 22 starters on offense/defense and 53 man rosters... but there are a subsection of fans who believe QB's are magical unicorns who can propel bad teams to championships like Lebron James... while ignoring that Lebron James couldn't win in Cleveland the first time and had to take his talents to South Beach. QB fanboys exist.
Yes, Brady fans do exist among Pats fans, but I don't see the sense in repeatedly calling those folks names, especially when posters get banned.

As for Lebron, he couldn't hold Brady's jock. But in both cases they need players more than coaches. That's the simple truth that seems to be ruffling feathers here.

That said poster is a very good Patriot fan...you can understand when someone comes to a New England Patriot message board and always talks negative about their team and always talks positive about another team or a player that is no longer with us...and that said poster gets upset....or maybe in your case you can't.

, but I don't see the sense in repeatedly calling those folks names, especially when posters get banned.
Who is getting banned? Please tell me, because it surely isn't you...if anyone get's banned it's deserving. Ian has more patience that any other fan board around. So stop with this "moderators" always picking on me theme......

Can I get banned?

Fair enough.

As for Bowles' role in the offense.... As HC, Bowles is ultimately responsible for the offense and he is ultimately responsible for the defense (and he is ultimately responsible for special teams too). He will no doubt leverage Leftwich's and Brady's pre-existing working relationship which, AFAIK, is a good one. A good leader knows when to delegate authority and, given that his background is exclusively defense, IMHO he would be wise to do so here. It certainly doesn't hurt that the QB has 20+ years experience under his belt, so I am sure Brady has some input too. Bowles will have some involvement, but really leave it to Leftwich and Brady to formulate the plan, make in game adjustments, etc.

My speculation of what happened. Brady told the front office he wanted Arians out, but they wouldn’t cooperate. Brady retires and then after thinking about it too long, the Bucs had a change of heart promising to can Arians if Brady returns. If so, Bucs made a huge mistake not doing this earlier and hiring another HC.

Jumping in late here so I see the thread isn’t really about Arians…

Looks like we have the other side of the coin when it comes to being relaxed. If you believe what Ohrnberger reported, Brady felt Arians basically just got in the way.

Something I found really interesting about that report was Brady didn’t like how Arians uses the running game, and he’s RIGHT. It makes no sense to lineup on first down just “to run” when you have a dynamic offense with two competent tight ends and are built around the deep pass. Sounds like that was one point of contention.

I’ve always felt Bowles would be a good coach with obvious leadership abilities (look at his pressers) but hate his blitz dependent schemes, especially with that personnel.

Anyway, there’s pros and cons to every coaching style, just like with every approach in life. Belichick runs a tight ship. It often works. Sometimes it isn’t the right way for the current players. Same with Arians. Seems Brady may have been frustrated because, as he says, the margins between winning and losing are small.
