OT: Arians steps down as Tampa HC

You are forgetting that Bowles is African American. The players on the Bucs, particular on the defensive side, are thrilled that he is the HC now. Just look at their tweets. In fact, I can't think of another team in NFL history where a black HC had more talent to work with than Bowles does in Tampa. Tampa is more talented than the 06' Colts and 08' Steelers. This move was 100% about Bowles and not about any Brady/Arians rift.
The next Brady moves.

1 Gronks new contract
2 Edelman rumors of a Tampa comeback

He's got a great reputation amongst the players

That's because Easy Chair Arians ran a loose ship. He retired from the Cardinals for a reason; he wasn't the same coach after joining Tampa, whose front office is underrated.

If Brady is running the show, he would have had the Bucs hire McDaniels or BOB, people he's worked with for many years as opposed to Bowles.

1 Probably
2. Edelman doesn't have a knee

McDaniels already has a job, and Tom didn’t get along with Obie as well as you think… I recall them screaming at each other on the sidelines.

Bowles was the smarter option, has head coach experience, is a defensive guy, they get to keep Leftwich and make a diversity hire. This is a win/win for the Bucs and Tom.

Wasn't Ryan Fitzpatrick the QB too? Lol
Yeah his first year HC he had Fitzpatrick playing like his good version and went 10-6.

Next year he mostly had bad Fitzpatrick along with Bryce Petty and Geno.

3rd season he had Josh McCown and 4th season was Sam Darnold's rookie season.

With quality QB play Bowles demonstrated he can win as a HC. The Bucs will be fine

I meant at the end of the 2021 season, when McD didn't have a HC gig yet. Tom yells and screams with a lot of people.

Brady's best back 2 back seasons w/ 83 TDs and almost 10,000 yards was under HC Arians. BA has the franchise record for winning % (.633). Say what you will but Brady thrived under BA. He also seemed happier than in a long time, as did Gronk. They were both getting pro days off, something they said never happened in NE.

It's fun to buy-in to the mediots driven drama spiel, just like we do here when Felger comes up w/ his idiotic theories about the Pats. Lol

I don't like it.

Brady left here because he was sick of Bill and his BS. Goes to Tampa, wins a ring, doesn't win another, sulks, semi-retires, forces out the HC who was there when he signed the contract. Maybe the problem is in Brady's mirror.

What a crazy offseason!!! Wonder if even Bowels can mess this up....weak NFC, talented team.....

While Brady might have been sick of BB, that does not mean BB wasn't good for him. Those two got the best out of each other.

Arians just sent out a statement. It’s not health related. Brady coup’d him.

"Succession has always been huge for me"

Well, in Season 4 TB12 plays Logan Roy and Arians is Kendall, Roman and Shiv all rolled into one.

Steve: Fully agree. I had Tom on a pedestal for years. I wish he retired in 2019. He was still the Tom we always knew or at least acted the part.
After that he started calling out teammates on the field. Forced his way out of town. Now when his new team loses in Playoffs he says he is not retiring via reports, then retires, then unretires after he gets what he most likely demanded his coaches ouster.
Wolf in sheep‘s clothing

Aside from the rumors by ex-OL Rich Ohrnberger (Brady's teammate in NE from 2009-11) what other sources are there about this friction? Ohrnberger tweeted Mahomes talked w/ Brittany Matthews & Jackson about not attending his games in the future and then deleted the tweet. None of the local beat writers confirm any of these rumors. Nothing from players, ex-players, assistants, etc. BA cusses out all the players. So what? I think Brady is used to tough coaching.

It seems like Brady wants every HC to kiss his ***. When Belichick wouldn't do it, he threw a hissy fit and tried to get Kraft to force him out. Arians criticized him too publicly at times.

I agree.

I think what we are seeing now is a larger than life Brady making decisions and no one of equal stature to check him.

See above. I don't see him wanting his azz kissed. I see him saying "I know what to do, these people need to listen to me. I know more than everyone else." And he has the resume to back it up.

Forced his way out of town? Thanks for confirming you're clueless.

Look at the timing. Tom tried to retire to push himself down to Miami, apparently was still lobbying to get traded there… this was compromise.

What is it exactly that Bruce Arians did last year to ruin the Bucs season? As far as I see it, it was the Bucs soft defense, particularly against the pass. Isn't that Jason Licht's job to fix? Is it Arians' fault that Brady is 1-6 vs the Rams and Saints as a Buc?
