Player Signing Patriots use 2nd Round Tender on Jacobi Meyers

Brown, ANQUAN and Rice were NOT STUD 40's runners, neither were Larry, Tim and MANY OTHERS.
Some of these guys are in the HOF, Where is Heyward Bay these days?

Dude I'm very confused - you liked my analysis (or my post) then it looks like you just called me some useless ****? Ouch. I definitely didn't say he was useless - actually Jakobi's been my favorite player on the Pats since his rookie year (yes over TB12). This isn't to you, but I've mentioned this before - he gets open against great CBs (like XavienH) consistently (or for example against TDiggs in the Cowboys game in OT on the deciding 3rd and short - Mac just decided to go elsewhere which was the wrong decision). It's just that once he catches the ball, he's going to get caught in no time - hence the poor YAC stat.
I don't think he was addressing that to you.

Meyers sucks. CUT HIM.

What did Jerry Rice run? Asking for a friend

Jerry Rice scored a lot more than 2 touchdowns over 3 seasons.

Rice scored 40 touchdowns in his first 3 seasons, but if you like Meyers, that’s on you.

Just don’t compare Rice & his 40 touchdowns to a guy who needs GPS to find the endzone.

Players are faster & stronger than they were 37 years ago, but Jerry Rice was an
All around talent with amazing hands.

He had on field speed which is much better than the Plillip Dorsett useless speed where he can’t get open.

He was catching passes from prime Joe Montana, not Cam Newton or a rookie. Don't pretend it doesn't make a difference. Oh go ahead, you're dumb enough.

He’s just not a lead guy, he’s a really good mid tier player who is effective when guys have to account for everyone. Look at the game he had when they took Harry out and add a full group of guys who were quick and could catch the ball. I think he was 8/8 in that game with a touchdown. That’s a good example of why they need to bring in someone to replace Harry who can contribute. It makes everyone, Meyers included, better.

Agree but I took that as a good stat, meaning he fights for the ball, which was something Harry was supposed to be able to do.

LOL, exactly. I don't mean to keep harping on Harry, but this season sort of did it for me. It was just frustrating to watch him week in and week out seemingly regress given the talk during the offseason. I thought maybe he'd come out with something to prove and aside from knocking down a few big guys who didn't see him coming, he was just a massive disappointment.

Meyers Is a bring your lunch pail, blue collar hard worker. Wont get the gaudy stats, and he doesn't have enough TDs to show for what he's put Into the offense.

No, he's not a #1 but I appreciate what he contributes and im a fan. I think he and Bourne are solid receivers. If you want to argue they need an A tier receiver (which I'd say based on the commitment to the ground game they probably won't want to invest into a real #1), go for it. I'm content keeping a Jakobi as a #3, he's got solid value.

I remember the videos you posted showing how sloooow he was off the line. Lol

So you think Meyers is Jerry Rice?
Keep wishing…but it won’t help.

He will be replaced as a starter soon enough if he continues averaging less than 1 touchdown per season.

No, I don't. You're the one who brought up Rice. Read comprehension not your strong suit I take it.
