Player Signing Patriots re-sign Trent Brown

I love it. Sounds like were only paying the 11m if he stays on the field in which he’s easily worth that

And if I read Miguel correctly earlier, these incentives are probably NLTBE, which means they won't hit this year's cap. Is that right or have I completely misunderstood how that works?

That’s right. Incentives that would have been unearned in 2021 are considered “not likely to be earned incentives” and don’t count against the 22 cap.

My highly unofficial guesstimate as to the cap charge is $3.1 million for 2022 - $1.1 guaranteed salary, $3 million signing bonus counting $1.5 million against both 2022 and 2023 cap plus $500,000 of LTBE incentives equaling $3.1 million.

Put him on the left side like @DropKickFlutie was preaching for a long time with Onwenu at RT. Wynn is unreliable and it's a shame he gets a lottery ticket for mediocre play.

He's so big. It's wild lmao.

To maintain decent, NFL-caliber mobility and endurance at that height both explains his injury history and is incredible that he has lasted this long to begin with

Good contract and great value:

Wow. If he plays well, $11m per is great value for a tackle nowadays. And if he misses or is just benched for 25% of the snaps again this year, the Pats can get out of it prior to free agency and only have a 1.25m dead money hit. So a ton of downside protection which hopefully we won’t need.

I wonder if playing at RT has resulted in a different kind of stress to his lower body that has caused him to miss so many games. The last time he played a full season was at LT. I have no idea, just a thought.
