The one caveat is that the full cap hit from a franchise tag hits as soon as it's applied. I also think that Belichick wasn't enamored with how that played out in 2009 with Cassel.

Doesn't work like that. Packers were willing to match it but Adams wanted out. You aren't supposed to tag with the intention trading just to get something better than a comp pick. It's bad faith and agents will and the nflpa will instruct their clients never to sign with you

Bucs are going to have to answer the Rams stacking up on offense with a DB or two. Not sure if they can land Mathieu but that would help solidify their secondary going up against Kupp, Woods, Robinson and Beckham (sounds like he'll re-sign). Van Jefferson is still pretty good too. Their TE is good as well.

At this point, I'm not sure if it's going to be Jimmy G, Baker or some other game manager....they have a lot of talent on both sides of the ball, all they need is a qb who doesn't screw it up.

Okay, so I don't disapprove of any of the deals BB has made so far.
The only one he didn't make that I wish he would have is keeping Karras, they weren't that far off from what Pats offered him.
Out of the remaining UFA, I'd like to see Bentley back, and of course keep Meyers or match if he gets an offer.
Then, grabbing Collins would be the final big piece that would make me feel better about our OL.
We're going CB, LB, DT, DE and OL in the draft.
