Apologies - I didn't see your post! It's just unreal that in his arrogance an owner could be this daft to risk losing it all.
No, no I wasn't saying it like that. I'm sure everyone feels the same and is right to speak on it.

I just saw your post and feel strongly that this will be the #1 thing that takes Ross down. Racism is awful but trying to prove that in the courts with expensive lawyers might not go the way some think it might. "Tanking" is something everyone can grasp and get behind though. And an owner! Again draft nuts talk like this. Not billionaires who are in charge of hundreds of employees on an NFL team.

I shouldn't be shocked though. 95% of the hires in the NFL are who you know, who you're related to or "hot name" that sat behind a new successful coach.

The qb can’t be Brady, or it wouldn’t be tampering since the yacht meeting was in the winter of 2020.
January and February 2020 he was still a Patriot. That is Winter 2020

1) How would you know that? The cause of anti tanking?
If Ross told him to tank that has nothing to do with race.
2) Like Brady forced them to pick the side of the truth?
3) That’s not my interpretation of the man, that is my interpretation of what serves the NFL best, which is all they will care about. They will “investigate” in order to create the story that helps them. Proving Flores claims right is the worst thing that can happen to the league, so regardless if what the facts are that will never happen.
4) I’m not agreeing or disagreeing with anything, I’m talking about what will happen.
This is starting to sound like your takes on the Kraft case, where you were embarrasingly proved to be DEAD WRONG.

NFL employee Ian Rapoport (who’s more likely to cooperate with an NFL investigation rather than somebody with a different organization) also says it was Brady. At this point, the Dolphins should lose their first for Ross trying to sabotage games, and their second should go to the Patriots for attempted tampering with their quarterback.

Better chance of Gisele falling for my fat (donkey) and leaving TB12 than the Patriots receiving anything from this deal.

Maybe?

Not a lawyer but it seems if he can prove the Giants violated Title VII and did not follow the Rooney Rule then maybe he can sue for damages. I just don't know.

I didn’t read the whole article you quoted but skimming it looks like it’s about the Rooney rule potentially being reverse discrimination but that it could be considered an aid in fighting a title 7 claim.
I think the Rooney rule is irrelevant and not following is not proof of discrimination. So they would need to make a case of violating something else, but the league could use the Rooney rule as a contributing factor in their defense.

For someone who says, and I quote, "black ppl aren’t looking to call everybody racist," you sure do bring up white supremacy an awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwful lot.
I am a student of history. White supremacy is as American as apple pie or… football. We’re even seeing it here.

Don’t take it personally, Just be upfront. If you think progressives, white or black, cry wolf about racism then say that.

Because when you do it can be called out as a fallacious tactic which it is. Has nothing to do with what’s at hand.

The tanking matter may also relate to race in the sense that an African American coach was set up to fail. You hire a stooge, he goes 2-14, you fire him. Jim Caldwell and the Colts. Who is expendable in such a scenario and why is he expendable? Say you hired Kyle Shanahan or Nick Saban? Do you ask them to throw games?
What are you blabbing about ?
Dungy pushed for this guy to succeed him

He went to the SB.

Peyton hurt all year and 2-14 is the result

If BB wrongly sent that text because he’s an old man OR if he did it in a Keyser Soze way… makes me love him even more.
His way to screw both the Giants and the Phish all while continuing to be an advocate for improving minority hiring practices in the NFL. I’m good with that.

I don't know how many different ways I can say it. Flores is alleging that Daboll was offered the job a week (at least) prior to Flores's interview.
I don’t know how many times I can say it, Daboll was not hired until after Flores interview. “I think they knew they were going to” isn’t a fact of relevance.

The trick is proving it.
Everyone knew the colts tanked but no one could prove it.
There’s not any proof of this lol. Colts whole management and coaches were fired. Why would they tank to get back stabbed? None of them would benefit from that.

And if they were tanking, why did they bench Painter?

Players didn’t benefit from tanking, management didn’t benefit from tanking, coaching didn’t benefit from tanking. Why would they all sacrifice to help Irsay?

Does Flores still wants to coach in the NFL?
I thought Ross's statement over the release of Flores was over the top. He literally threw him under the bus. Very uncharacteristic of what teams say when they let HCs go. It's pretty clear that Ross despised Flores and probably told him he wouldn't get another coaching job. Flores probably documented the f_*k out of his interactions given the questionable ethics of the owner from the get go. Flores has nothing to lose here. He knows these interviews are a sham and would rather expose the whole thing that cower away silently into a corner. I just hope he told Ross to go F*%k himself.

How many SBs has Flores won as the head coach?
How many white coaches have won SBs in the last 22 years, given 98% of them have been white? IOW, not winning a SB hasn't stopped hiring predominately white coaches, even with zero HC experience. Flores has been a HC for 3 seasons. He had a winning record in 2. His first year, the Owner was trying to tank.

Thank you for adding that irrelevancy to the issue. However, the original poster already conceded the point that was being made, when he came with a response of "But STEVE BELICHICK!"

People really need to separate the issue(s) from the politics.

So what you are saying is white people are so racist that 3 years in advance they hire a black coach so he can take them to the SB then another playoff berth because they knew by year 3 Manning would have a career threatening injury so they would want to tank for luck so hire the black guy so we can get him to lose games?

Congrats on being the only person who doesn’t know the Colts tanked.

I read it as Title VII validating the Rooney Rule and if violated lays the foundation for a potential discrimination suit.

ugly mess, either way.

how will this effect his potential jobs in the NFL, afterwards???

Pats are the most racist team? Curious on this take besides the tired as hell Boston is the most racist place in the world stuff.
I wouldn’t say it’s tired actually.

It’s still a problem. There are several current accounts of folks saying bostons racist.

They hide behind the immigrant stuff, the John Kerry stuff, the colleges, their juxtaposition against the south in general.

That’s why it’s such an enigma. It’s not tired at all.

In fact, European immigrants were some of the most racist towards blacks because socioeconomically, psychologically… they needed someone under them and a common enemy/scapegoat. They could put their respective differences aside and say “at least I ain’t no _, this is my job/neighborhood/school, not yours”.

They wasted what could’ve been a political alliance against white supremacy for the sake of passing. Look at the Cubans in Florida today.

Cornell west points out “**** whatever you were. You’re off the boat - you’re white now”. That was the olive branch handed to Irish/eastern euro/fair skinned Latino folk from the ruling white elite.

You wanna roll your eyes at that scene in GF2 when the Senator looks down on Italians like ok boo hoo dude.

In the south replace that immigrant/poor while demographic with poor descendants of English ppl (in the Midwest you got Germanic ppl), paddy rollers, overseers who couldn’t afford to own land and slaves… you New Englanders tend to look down on them as rednecks but it’s all the same from the AA perspective.

If anything blue state, neoliberal racism has become more sinister and less dealt with in the post-trump era because they can have a black sheep to poke fun at but then vote against voting rights, or generally speaking uphold the antebellum constructs that prevent blacks (and poor whit ppl) from reforming society.

It’s a family business…
