The endings of both the Buc’s game and the Bills game were disgusting. To allow teams to get down field so fast for game tying/winning field goals is inexcusable. The Bills just handed the Chiefs another SB win. No way I watch that game, I hate the Chiefs and Nick Wright, both extremely smug. ****ing Bills, I hate them but hate the Chiefs more. ****ing idiots, #1 defense my ass.

And the Bucs defense, letting the Rams to walk right downfield with 35 seconds left to kick the winning FG, after coming back from 27-3, just ****ing heartbreaking and gross.

Patrick Mahomes has proven himself to be a QB that any franchise would be extremely lucky to have. Of additional note, Patrick Mahomes will not unseat Tom Brady as the GOAT QB.
mahomes will be 26 when he wins his 2d SB this year. Brady won his 2d when he was 26. Mahomes passing Stats obliterate Brady's at this point in their careers and Mahomes has more wins (50 to 48) and playoff wins (8 to 6) than Brady at this age.

I don’t blame the defense.

I blame the coach.

Not a single defensive player got beat in those 13 seconds.

The coach decided to just fall back into a shell zone and let Kelce run untouched. That’s a coaching decision.
Tough loss man. Josh Allen is a beast.

They might be able to kick cans down the road and keep those 3 together a little while longer but it'll be to the detriment of the rest of the roster. 2022 is Hill's contract year. Kelce will be "old" for a TE within a couple years.
the cap was supposed to destroy their oline this year... looked pretty good today

Gonna quote myself from another thread.

“Well, I’m a very vaine person so there is one silver lining in the Chiefs winning today. IF, and this is a big giant IF, Mahomes gets to the Super Bowl and loses then it’ll be worse for him than if he lost today. Does that make logical sense? Hell no. Why should someone be punished for not losing earlier right? Well in the NFL for QBs they are. Brady was for YEARS. And so fairs fair, if Mahomes gets to another Super Bowl and loses to drop to 1-2 in the big game that’s a damaging hole to dig out of legacy wise”

Looking past Cinci eh?
Cincy is gonna get smoked. Mahomes and the Chiefs have been on fire. Now that Mahomes has time to throw, not even the Rams great D can stop him. I’m literally disgusted with the goddamned Bills, who I HATE, but not as much as I hate the Chiefs. 13 ****ing seconds, how does the alleged #1 defense allow that ? As much as I loved yesterday’s games, I feel like puking from today’s games.

This is what the NFL wants. This type of football is created by rule changes making it impossible to defend, not by defenses.

You can’t not see the flaw in this.

And he’s what 0-2 vs TB in the playoffs, including a super bowl loss.

Due to Betty White the wife is on a golden girls binge watch so this came to mind. Picture it, #1 defense in the NFL, hosting an AFC championship against a team you should dispatch with ease on the line, all you have to do is not let them score for 13 seconds. And you blew it!

As exciting as those last two mins were I also view them as an abomination of what this league has turned into. Give me a tense great defensive struggle 11/10 times over that both teams went down the field twice in under a min garbage. I really wanted KC’s season to be over they were the last team in the tournament I would hate to see win the lombardi.

It is too early to say if he will or won't.

The future is always undermined but we can use historical data to assign probabilities. Tom Brady is an extreme outlier with emphasis on extreme. As such, Patrick Mahomes or ______(fill in name of next top of the line QB) being able to reproduce the career of Tom Brady has a starkly low probability rating.

The career success and longevity of Tom Brady is.unique. While they'll probably be a day when it is no longer unique, it'll require numerous attempts to get to that point. Moreso, today's league is designed to make it even more difficult to replicate TB's career. Bottom line: no active player is anywhere close to Tom Brady's career success and probabilities strongly say that won't change due to Patrick Mahomes or _____(fill in the blank).

The Rams have a shot.

Still reeling from how great this game was.
31 points scored in the 4 mins from 2-minute warning till end of game

Yeah the comment by @Tunescribe is apt. The NFL playoffs is looking like the NBA. Might as well just tune in for the final 8:00 because everything that happened until that point is irrelevant. 20 point lead? Who cares. The scoring in the final few minutes of the game reaches levels where it makes all subsequent strategy somewhat meaningless.

Usually it isn’t as bad as this weekend, but it may be straw breaking the camel’s back for offensive rule changes.

It just sort of cheapens the game when whatever happens, you can just get bailed out with 60 easy yards. Mahomes and Allen are great players, but it became repetitive since both could absolutely destroy the defenses in the end.

It makes some of the history of the game kind of cheap too. I mean, Elway‘s famous drive, move over…because Mahomes and Allen had like 5 game winning drives in one game. Kind of ridiculous.

Maybe they are two incredible outlier QBs…I don’t know. But the Bucs game was pretty insane too.

Same with the Bucs -Rams game

He's 0-2 vs Brady

Need an elite secondary or dead in the water.
